ayoo its my space duo, long time no see gang

so the production quality compared to your other projects has gotten better, theres a noticeable difference to my ears, even with youtube's compression which usually i find hits songs worse compared to other platforms; sounds good though - NON-EUCLDIAN SPACE was a really nice trance-y track; BREAKING THE RULES was another favorite, reminded me of something Nick León would do regarding sound design its gorgeous. overall theres more variation in grooves compared to your past projects ive heard in my time here, which is nice and little more entertaining personally. before you guys would fall on breakbeats a lot; which can get a little stale throughout a project and werent as groovy

the sequencing is also your best and i like that youre using Aidene's vocals more again but in different ways than you normally fall back on (riffing on ambience and sax melodies). seems like it was left off more on the last couple project but here you utilize it well without using it as a crutch. SPACE DESERT was the only one that sounded like a typical track from you both imo; but even that switched up to like a 90s downtempo vibe towards the back half, had to wait a while for it. THE CRAFT also kinda reminds me of something off of that Nevada one, which im spacing on the name but it was fresh sounding and that downtempo drum was a good choice. i wanted to like STARLIGHT DRIPS THRU MY THIRD EYE more but its like muddy sounding which kinda takes me out of it, specifically the vocal recordings. i like the harmonies and that bass but quality wise they sound muddy and it stands out compared to the other tracks

great job though @Aidene and @Midge F , idk where id rank it in your discog but i liked listening to that

I dunno where to start, @Grape Ape for just listening, making comparisons to other projects and always, the best constructive criticism. Nuff luvs, star! Thank you!

@Aidene is truly a legend, imo. She turns 4-bar ideas into beautiful things.

I am ridiculously lucky to collaborate with someone so talented.

@Grape Ape multitudinous thankings for giving it a good listen through. i know that takes time and effort in these busy days we find ourselves in so it is much appreciated. For me the reward is in the creation itself but to know someone else derives a little interest and pleasure from it too is the cherry on the cake. Cheers ! :thanks:

Had a go at testing Ozone 12, just letting it analyse the track and make 'improvements'. This is what it did....does sound more 'clear' at least to my ears and headphones....

@Aidene yeah its definitely clearer, im pretty sure it was the low mids but however you got it, you got it: definitely less distracting, it was taking away from the harmonies before and i also love me some sub bass - those are vocal samples though right? thats what im guessing, though it could be you and midge. i like the male and female harmonies though

Love it! Very tasteful and interesting!

Do you mind telling us, @Aidene and @Midge F , a little bit about the collaboration and the project?
I like the album cover and visuals too, who's done it?

    I dig it!

Can I pass the mic to @Aidene, she's very much the brains and musical beauty of this project>

If it wasn't for this forum, there wouldn't be a Saucer Pilots... so, thanks Audiosex! Thaudioz!

@Grape Ape yeah that's a mix of my vocals and vocal samples. I keep telling Midge he should sing and to let it all go but he insists his vocal chords remain a private affair for the sake of listeners delicate ear drums ...........i dunno why because he has a background of being famous enough to be name checked by THE one and only John Peel.....i'll leave it at that  ....because he prefers to be very modest and yet always supremely talented !

@The Dude.... Thanks for Digging it Dude !!! i 'met' Midge F on The Alien In a Jar project some time ago on here. He kindly did some tracks for that. It was then that you and me exchanged some messages and you offered some very sage advice....thank you again for that! Since then Midge and I have done several album projects together as The Saucer Pilots.....all linked into in some way to our shared interests and passion for UFO's, aliens, left field culture, production techniques and The Mighty Bob Lazar worship (Bob actually gave us permission to use his vocal samples and sent me birthday wishes last year...i was forever smitten!) Midge and I swap short musical ideas between each other and one or the other expands on them...it is a true collaboration in the end product.

I did the album cover and video visuals.....i got most of the material from the free to use content @:

    https://archive.org/

which is treasure trove well worth digging into if you are interested :like:

This was a really nice surprise !
I hear so many good influences I think we probably grew up listening to a lot of the same music across different genres:mates:
I really liked the wind instruments sections and the great atmospheres all around. Pads and drums with character.
Across the star grabbed me from the get go and by Starlight Drips my decision to stay for the full lenght was done
