I agree with you, people that uses the plugin every time AND are making money with their music, the PROs have to buy it.
However, in development countries, $99 it's a fortune, specially for people that are NOT making any money with their art.
Here, in my 3rd world, the wage of a normal worker is around $300.

Poor people wanna make Art and (I agree that) they don't NEED the sonic charge plugins for that.
But I would not condemn my brothers, because I think that this type of attitude represents civil disobedience (Henry David Thoreau), a form of rebellion and that, my friend, is an essential function of art made by poor people.

I do not stimulate Piracy, I know the sonic charge dev needs to feed his family and (maybe) he is a great guy, but, you have to understand,in some contexts he represents the established power, the one by which these people feel exploited from 9 to 9, 6 days a week.

 

It's precisely because of this poverty that all the cracker/hacker teams from Team Air, H20, Team R2R, and V.R, and many others exist to ensure a little justice.

There are so many cracked drum machines and samples available these days that you'll have no shortage of plugins. If the Microtonic isn't available, use a different drum machine or an older version: Sonic Charge Microtonic v3.1 Incl SN (WiN and OSX) from April 4, 2014!

A partial solution to the timebomb:

1) Add the following to the hosts file:

0.0.0.0 soniccharge.com
0.0.0.0 nuedge.net
0.0.0.0 elysian.se

2) Open Notepad++ and paste the following code:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\NuEdge Development]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\NuEdge Development\SonicCharge]
"ssc2salt"=hex:
"data"=hex:
"scregistry"=hex:
"uuidcache"=""

Save with a .reg extension and launch the file to apply the changes to your registry.

3) Profit.

It will show a trial window every time you launch it and you'll have to apply your custom skin again.

It seems you will need to apply this .reg file from time to time. I'm still testing the method, but no timebomb so far.

UPD: You can also create a .bat file to run the .reg file silently and create a scheduled task to run this bat every 20 days, for instance. The bat file should contain the following line:

regedit.exe /s "Path_To_Your_Reg_File"

agreed sick way of thinking, this way you can justify anything with poverty
and so many times producers with real income caught using cracked versions

This is NOT permanent solution bro
