NUGEN Audio Announces SEQ-S Spline and Match Equalizer

    Code:
    http://www.nugenaudio.com/seq-s-linear-phase-eq-spline-match-plugin-aax-au-vst_22#
SEQ-S gives you powerful sonic sculpting and EQ matching up to 7.1, with stereo mid-side operation and automated spectrum analysis. Massage and correct any audio with incredible resolution that you just can’t get with a traditional parametric interface.

A direct-draw interface and detailed spectrum analysis make it easy to quickly identify and specifically fine-tune your audio. Couple this with EQ matching via sonic fingerprinting and you have some unique possibilities.
    Match one recording to another

Beyond traditional EQ, you can also use SEQ-S to capture the flavour of a piece of source audio and then transfer it to your current work – great for restoration and harmonisation work. Or use the same technique on individual tracks to unify different takes, microphone positions, and more.
    Create 'perfect' space

The EQ Invert control gives you a minimally-invasive technique for creating space in a complex mix where traditional EQs are just too cumbersome. By ‘sampling’ the vocal and applying the inverted the curve to the backing, specific space can be gently created without unnecessarily altering the original tonality of the underlying audio.
    High definition low frequency control

Unlike many linear phase EQs, SEQ-S has a unique Quality Setting that gives it great precision in the low frequencies, allowing you to make highly transparent adjustments without muddying the mix. The resolution is scalable to suit your task. Choose all the precision you need for demanding work during mastering, or vary the setting to run multiple instances concurrently during a mixing session.

these linear phase bastards mostly eat more cpu than my cat whiskas. Any information on cpu consumption and latency ?

ok, downloaded it. I tried to eliminate unwanted piano resonances and compared it to the standard logic channel eq. What should i say ? This little piece of shit sounds amazing and blows the logic (non linear phase)eq away but sucks cpu as expected and is really really expensive. By far no bread and butter eq... hmmm, miraculously my trial one is already registered ;)

    I'm using a beta version.

CPU & L depends on FFT/Quality settings, at it's lowest, it's ~1.7% on one of my mixes and 2K of latency, which is actually not bad, compared to some other colouring/'analog' EQs. Just don't crank it to maximum. Medium takes a CPU hike, and ~8K of L.

About CPU consumption, what would you expect? Is a f*ckin' linear-phase EQ. In the virtual world, the better the algorithm, the more CPU power requires.(even if it's optimised well, a complex and advanced algorithm still use alot of CPU)

And about this plug, really looks awesome to me. I love and use all the Nugen stuff (mostly Stereo Bundle), for me they're the best in that area.
I'm glad to see they're still active and working on new stuff. :break:

P.S. i think Algorithmix's overpriced lin-eq will get owned by this new baby. :headbang:

According to copylefter it uses it uses eLicenser (CP + eLicenser) -CRAP!

Indeed. A shitload of eLicenser actually. If you see the functions list seems that there is more CP crap than useful code in there.
And I'm not exaggerating *no*
Btw, this new-nugen *yes* is greattt.
Dunno how it compares to Algorithmix stuff, but I don't want to know, it's just awesome.

Has anyone compared it to Zynaptiq's Unfilter plugin?
I have used Unfilter for audio restoration work, to flatten responses. Its sound quality is superb! It is also CPU intensive. But the results are rewarding!
I will definitely give this a try.

This and Unveil are like an apple and a pear. Both fruits, but they're still different. Unveil it's focused on obviously, "unveiling" stuff. While this one is focused on surgical and subtle things.(but you can use it drastically too if that's the purpose).
Quality wise, Nugen is great too.
