    Hello Guys,

does anyone perhaps remember from which sample pack this track came from?

I bought it almost 9 years ago.
Chances are small that anyone knows but hope dies last!

    Thank you!

What makes you so sure it's from a sample pack? Can't it be Kontakt instrument or simply MIDI and one shots from any Far East Ethnic library like Spectrosonics Heart of Asia or Sony Opium

Because I bought it back in the day. And it was def. a "Construction Kit" from a sample library. But cannot remember the name.

9 years ago must be 1996, there weren't that many "construction kits" in sample libraries back then, the only I can come up with is USB Soundscan AKAI discs or Discovery Firm that had 2-3 construction kits in some of their libs, not all, but I have then all and I don't recognize this melody. Could it be Discovery Firm - Discovery Japan

You might have some luck finiding it on a torrent tracker if it was released. You'd probably recognize the title if you saw it.

Thanks for the hint. But I have absolutely no experience with torrent trackers. I was looking on producerloops.com (thats the place were I think I bought it, i wrote them an email already because obviously it isnt possible to look back into 2016). Was spending the last 3 hours with digging on their site.

You check the site through the wayback machine? They've been around this whole time, should have a couple entries.

Also, some of those song identifier DBs scrape anything and everything on public and behind 1 step login sites. Might at least yield other tracks that used it, could help in identifying.

Here is the site on Jan 3 2017

I should note, once you start jumping around the date will likely change to. I just loaded 'sort by best selling: year for World in 2017, but now I'm in early 2016.

    ... Ethnic Strings Melodies?
    ...Epic Ethno Orchestra 2?
... World Tek? 6 of em to check... well, have fun!... also just hit reload after 10 seconds when the page doesnt load. Either it will, or you gotta try again.

I would take one of these: Best Service - Ethno World 6 or Best Service - Ethno World 5

Review: Ethno World 6 Complete Instruments by Marcel Barsotti

No public search results specifically identify which sample pack the track by Dino Sor (composer Philippe Vesic, music publisher Label Control) comes from. None of the available results list or discuss this specific track, artist, or composer in connection with any sample pack.

Given how niche and specific this query is—particularly for a track purchased nearly 9 years ago—it is likely that the sample pack in question was either a smaller, independently released, or limited distribution pack, or it may have been sold under different metadata not directly connected to Dino Sor or Philippe Vesic in standard databases.

If you still have access to the original files, you might want to check:
The file metadata or original ZIP contents—the folder or documentation often names the sample pack.
Your email transaction history for digital download links or purchase receipts.

Alternatively, communities on specialized forums (such as KVR Audio, Gearspace, or even Reddit’s r/samples or r/IDmySample) may have users familiar with obscure or rare packs and can help identify the source if you provide an audio clip.
Unfortunately, no definitive answer is currently available from web sources.

There are no widely documented or commercially prominent sample packs specifically associated with Dino Sor or Philippe Vesic from around 9 years ago. Both names—Dino Sor (as artist) and Philippe Vesic (as composer)—do not appear in major sample pack archives, marketplaces (such as Loopmasters, Splice, Producer Loops, or Sounds.com), or in well-known sample library reviews.

Here’s what can be established based on available information:

    • Philippe Vesic is known as a composer whose works have appeared in production music catalogs and library music, sometimes under aliases or as contributions for library music labels. However, his name is not directly tied to commercial sample packs.

    • Dino Sor does not appear as a sample pack producer or a prominent artist in sample library circles.

    • Label Control, cited as the music publisher, is not a household name in sample pack or library music publishing either; it may be a boutique or private publisher.
    What this means:
If the track in question was distributed via a sample pack, it is likely that the release was:

    • A niche or small-label release.

    • Possibly a production music library rather than a commercial sample pack.

    • Potentially only available through specialized or regional distributors.
    Recommendations:

    1. Double-check any files you have for folder or PDF documentation naming the sample pack.

    2. Try searching library music catalogs or contacting the publisher (Label Control) for more information.

    3. Post a short sample of the track on music identification forums as previously suggested.
    Summary:
At this time, there is no evidence of widely-known or distributed sample packs associated by name with Dino Sor or Philippe Vesic, especially from nine years ago. The track may instead originate from a library music collection rather than a traditional sample pack.
