While waiting you can scratch the itch a little bit for quite cheap. Works out particularly well if you could use a couple utility items. Although not the Super Nova engine, you can find Novation Remote25 Audio for $50 if you look a little bit, there is a dl on novations site to turn it into an x-station. If nothing else you'd get a 25 full key controller with a bonus synth engine, and the added utility of a midi interface and an audio interface.

A bit better yet. xio25's are sometimes put up for 50 as well. Couple more voices and features. Most importantly a more aggressive filter and distortion fx, translating to the best sounding of that range (a-k-v-x station - uh, xio...). Its also the only one compatible with all the other devices... being the last one made n all.

ahhhhh just lost the presets was using again on a song. was working last night, rendered the mix bus out and after i unmuted it to change something just now and all gone. LUCKILY whenever i use osTIrus now i rename the tracks to the preset so i can recall them again, but it really limits how much i use osTIrus despite loving it and being a supporter. i basically just am limited to using presets instead of messing around with the guts of such a cool synth. i use serum2 now predominantly just because i can trust it to recall any tweaks ive made.

but nothing worse than hearing five instances of the default "T I BC". i hope they're able to track this down at somepoint, its happening to multiple people across multiple platforms according to the bug report section on discord and this forum. its a pretty major bug in my opinion. id be way more stoked to see this fixed than see a new emulation. and its SOOOOO fucking random, like i have no clue whats causing it besides muting and unmuting a track, or how its loading it or SOMETHING. ARRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH. well at least it remembered where i had selected on the browser even if it didn't load it properly.

Fuck no, he'd just take over the project, steal all the credit, and then ruin it.

    Supernova (2) ?
A voice expansionn / upgrade needed extra DSP chips.

I will be very happy with either a Nova or Xio emu.

Not exactly Nova or Xio, but Novation's own plugin version of the A/X-Station is great. They stopped distributing it, but the K'd version still works fine.

Just be prepared to program your own patches because the patch switching for the 100 is not exactly fun.

If you're talking about the V-STATION, then it sounds like complete crap — the real version of V-STATION for TC Powercore is very different

Not too sure about that, I've had a X-Station and used it plenty, and importing the patches to V-Station sound identical. Are they 1:1? Good enough to work when used in the same track.

I would love Creamware (now Sonic Core) to be born again, either as software or affordable hardware.

Their legacy PCI cards were works of engineering art - packed with
    Analod Devices: SHARC DSP chips.

The highlight points below tell how they are well suited for digital audio applucations & DAWs.

    Quote Google AI...
SHARC stands for Super Harvard Architecture Single-Chip Computer, a family of high-performance digital signal processors (DSPs) developed by Analog Devices. These processors are known for their exceptional core and memory performance, high I/O throughput, and suitability for a wide range of applications including automotive, professional audio, and industrial systems.

Here's a more detailed look at SHARC DSPs:
    Key Features:

    Super Harvard Architecture:
This architecture balances core processing power with efficient memory and I/O capabilities.

    Floating-point and Fixed-point Math:
SHARC processors support both 32-bit and 40-bit floating-point math, as well as 32-bit fixed-point arithmetic.

    Hardware Looping:
SHARC processors have hardware support for zero-overhead looping, allowing for efficient execution of repetitive tasks.

    Large On-chip Memory:
They integrate substantial on-chip SRAM, minimizing the need for external memory access and improving performance.

    High-speed Serial Links:
SHARC processors often feature multiple serial links for inter-processor communication, enabling multiprocessing configurations.

    Industry-leading Peripherals:
SHARC SoCs (System on Chip) include a variety of peripherals like Gigabit Ethernet, USB, CAN FD, and various digital audio interfaces.

    Integrated ARM Cores:
Some SHARC SoCs incorporate an ARM Cortex-A5 core to handle microcontroller tasks and complex peripherals, simplifying system design.

    SHARC+ Core:
Later generations of SHARC processors, known as SHARC+, feature cache enhancements and branch prediction.

    Applications:
Automotive: SHARC processors are used in automotive audio systems, radar processing, and other in-cabin applications.

Professional Audio: They are a popular choice for high-end audio equipment like mixing consoles, effects processors, and studio gear.

Industrial: SHARC processors find applications in motor control, industrial automation, and instrumentation.

Consumer Audio: They are also used in consumer audio products like home theater systems and digital music players.

Medical: SHARC processors are used in medical devices, including diagnostic equipment and surgical tools.

    Development Tools:
    CrossCore Embedded Studio:
Analog Devices provides a comprehensive IDE (Integrated Development Environment) called CrossCore Embedded Studio, which supports Blackfin, SHARC, and ARM processor families.

    SigmaStudio:
This graphical development tool simplifies the design of audio systems by allowing users to create signal processing flows visually.

    VisualDSP++:
An older IDE that is still used for SHARC development, although CrossCore is now the recommended toolchain.

In summary, SHARC processors are a versatile and powerful choice for demanding real-time signal processing applications, with a strong track record in various industries and a well-established development ecosystem.

aaahhh yes, I keep forgetting this.
But IMHO they're still not main-stream/ underground.
    - why is that ?

Maybe because they are $700 and marketed to Eurorack users. Eurorack and modular components are mostly sold by these almost boutique size shops compared to the massive online retailers.

Yeah. Sonic Core and MakePro-X target markets are not the masses. Word of mouth gets most of the job done. Also this product exists mostly 'because it can.' Sonic Core had the code, MakePro had the means to whip up a host. Voila. They also collabed with John Bowen to release Solaris.

The dino kit is also the cheap 'demo' kinda. It runs the og creamware plugins, not the new stuff. 5k gets you in the door for the current Sonic Core dsp platform. MakePro is in the high end controller space. Both companies prime markets are in the professional realm.

creamware are not full 64bit. they work with vsts in reaper but not with standalones unless using asiolink or finding a 32bit version
