I will never be a fan of any company out there, but these days you don't find many companies that improve their software and add content without charging you extra for updates..

So it begins. Won't be long before Gopher is able to control any in-app function and listen to your audio, effectively becoming a "real" assistant, and loop starter and chord/bassline gen tool gets a generative audio model pumping out infinite number of "unique" in context samples instead of just pulling from the cloud.

This looks like a solid update. FL has really become a very powerful tool.

A person who is unable to find information in the attached pdf help file and need a chatbot to do that should maybe choose a less stressful hobby
Seems like soon they will try to prove us the necessity of using a "AI chat bot" to communicate with a wife in bed.

You're right! There aren't the serious updates of the past, for us real mature men! Like the new stainless steel needles for our gramophones! Ahh, the good old days..

Guys, there's no point in complaining.. i don't care about the chat bot either, but i can finally edit the damn clips easier! However, rather than "update for teenagers" i would have called it "update for beginners".

Lols, jokes aside, the editing in the playlist without having to "make unique" is certainly great.

I'm using FL since 2005 and I always loved the way they were evolving with each new version. But the latest updates feel like they are really struggling to get money so they are avocating to a marketing focused on young people and so they can get enough money to survive on a DAW war of newcomers marketshare. flex, the cloud, the loop creator, now AI chatbox. Damn

I really hope Gol and the IL team focus on things that matters:

Unlinking the PPQ from audio is a must in the playlist. Its unbelievable that we can not zoom in to sample level in 2025

Unlinking the step sequencer from the playlist, I believe this one is really hard to implement tho, that channel rack is like the pilar of the entire DAW.

Showing an RMS meter on the mixer together with the peak meter just like Protools or Ableton. That one should be easy.

I wouldn't be surprised if in the future we have to watch 1 minute of advertising before we can use fruity compressor..

...so users who AI generate music in FL Studio might not earn a penny on youtube anymore.
I just hope other platforms will follow.
