just noticed this and i realised i had a very old version of togu's softwares. installed it and the update, but the demo noise still plays every once in a while. if you open a plugin, you can see for a fraction of a second it says "demo" but then registered.
before reverting, i was wondering if i did something wrong or i messed up somehow?
    thx

that + the following update. uninstalled everything before installing the new ones.
plugins show registered but every time i open a new one, for a an instant, they show "demo", then go "registered". noise still plays every once in a while.

It wouldn't be the first time TCD released something broken. NoiseWorks and Audified come to mind. In the R2R release, they were even called out for that.

Now, whether it's a broken crack or leftover junk from the previous one you had, I can't really tell. The way you describe it, seems to be the crack (especially being able to see it revert to demo for a split second).

I've only seen one comment on the sister site in the comments under the Togu TCD (Bundle Update) release mentioning Windows 10 and Ableton noise. I personally have no noise issues here with Windows 11
Cubase (DAW none admin) with plugins (VST3) open or closed
I uninstalled a mixture of different teams with Windows own uninstaller, cleaned with CCleaner Tools> Registry (Scan for Issues) and installed the main previous release with the update.
Is it all of them that make noise? VST2 or VST3?

hi sam, thanks for your answer.
i tried all manners of uninstalling and installing, vst2 or vst3, with or without the update, cleaning registry as well.
it's all of them that sometimes make the noise, yeah (except the free plugins of course).
i was just wondering if i was the only one, since i've usually never had problems with k'd software. i've since reverted to r2r versions, so that's all good. thanks for sharing

your post echoes one on a completely different website. Uninstalling after a demo version really needs to be thorough. Revo Uninstaller Pro is what I have seen people have the most success with for cleaning up after expired demos or other cracked versions.

Yes I normally do uninstall with an older version of Revo but didn't on this occasion... Sometimes I've had Revo highlight all Arturia when I wasn't even uninstalling Arturia so you have to still be careful using Revo but still clean Registry with CCleaner afterwards no matter which I use. Thanks Clone

Is it all plugins that revert to demo and produce noise or just some? Like for instance I would check G-Verb and Pha. The first one was released with a different, better protection, and the second got that protection and a different key just recently. Few months ago or so. Other plugins still have old protection and use the same old key, as far as I know. I mostly use TAL-Drum and Sampler, sometimes J-8 and Pha.

edit... I use Linux and I generated the keys with R2R keygen long time ago. Everything works except there's no crack for G-Verb and for newer version of Pha so I use the last that works with the old key - v1.2.2.

Third party uninstallers like Revo, BCUninstaller, etc are no guarantee you'll get it all either. But there are only a handful of locations where any program will install files too and if you're regularly installing warez, you should know and check these spots semi regularly as you change software around to keep things clean (files the legit uninstaller would remove are often left behind in warez versions).

    The two hidden:
    Users\you\appdata\roaming
    c:programdata

Occasionally some files will be in appdata\local. Generally won't be in locallow.

These are the two most common places that credential/key docs are stored and uninstalling will not remove these typically, 3rd party uninstallers generally won't either.

    Otherwise:
    user\you\documents
    user\public\documents
    c:programfiles
    c:programfiles(x86)

Download VoidTools Everything to aid if you wish. It's a search tool that'll return all instances of match on your drive in a blip.

You don't have to worry about old dangling registry keys for the most part so I don't wanna hand out the nuke keys in case you accidentally aim at yourself. 99.99% of the time that isn't going to be the issue.

CCcleaner regclean really isn't doing anything practical. If an old reg key is the problem (which is nearly never is) it's also likely gonna be one of the scenarios that 'regclean' doesn't remove it either.

i usually use CCleaner, next time i'm going to try Revo ,as clone suggested.
SineWave: i checked all of them, and yes, they all portray the same behaviour: as soon as I open their window, I can see for a brief instant the "unregistered" (red text) which then immediately reverts to registered and stops the noise as well. after a minute or so, the noise comes back. g-verb, pha, 101, etc.

alright, thanks, but as i said, i know more or less my way around software. there was absolutely no trace of togu or tal ever existing on my machine when i installed tcd's release. no idea at this point

Maybe you could try to register newer versions of everything but G-Verb and Pha with R2R's keygen. ;) But since I don't use Windows I cannot guarantee they would work. Maybe try just TAL-Drum or something to see if it works with the old key on Windows, too. I think it should.

I just remembered I also use J-8 v1.9.9, not 2.0.0 and U-NO-LX 4.9.5 not 5.0.0 which probably use the new key.

I only tested the simple version not the xx.6.11 update only so I skipped that one I installed the nearly 2 GB setup
    I have inside GigPerformer v5 Bassline+PHA+UNO LX
I had the white noise until I opened all of them &moved some random knobs on the GUI & the white noise disappeared
I kept my GigP session open for hours in the background and I had zero issues

if you close everything and then open the project again, what happens? is the noise still present until you open the plugin/move some knobs?

The white noise you experienced in your Togu Audio Line (TAL) plugins, such as TAL-NoiseMaker or TAL-Sampler, is likely due to the demo mode limitations. These limitations often include periodic white noise bursts or other audio interruptions. Once you registered the plugin, the white noise ceased, confirming this as the cause.

My guess is they downloaded the demos from the developer's website and then tried to crack it, which they succeeded in doing, but not completely. For musicians, this noise is very annoying and disrupts their workflow.

Result: The TCD team didn't do its job 100%. Perhaps another team like V.R or R2R, etc., will take care of cracking it properly.

CCleaner does great for cleaning out generic system areas and user targeted specific stuff. It will not clean much other than regular system areas that revo already hits.

Follow this process for any/all uninstalls and you should not have any issues with regard to "leftovers" and old remnants.

    1. get and install both Ultrasearch Pro and REVO uninstaller. These are both easily findable warezed so no need to spend big $$ .. If you're on a machine that is actively connected to internet make certain to BLOCK both apps from access to the internet.
    2. Run the standard UNINSTALL via REVO.
    4. In REVO make certain that the switch to "search ALL accounts" for remnants and leftovers is on/checked/activated...
    3. run the REVO post uninstall searches (using the all accounts switch) that sweeps the registry and deletes leftover files

    -- AFTER REVO

    4. fire up Ultrasearch and search all drives that are pertinent (the C:/ drive is a must) for the name of the dev (i.e. TOGU) AND the name of the product(s). The searches are done in a flash so you'll be finished in no time. Using the standard windows search for this would take decades and is not very accurate... Plus Ultrasearch has the capability to search inside files as well.
    5. Delete all files that are relevant.
    6. reboot.

Follow this process for any/all instances that require a completely clean uninstall.

hopefully this helps other people, thanks saccamano.
i spent some time earlier, doing the whole uninstall/install again.
unless i open the plugins' windows one by one every time a project is loaded, the noise is still there. it's as if the vst are in demo mode unless their windows are open
let's wait for @PartyShit and let's see if he notices the same behaviour

This is why most Teams never use demos or beta versions to make releases from.

Checked the sisite and other distros for comments relating to demo-like issues with these releases and found pretty much nothing. Either no one is using them (unlikely) or no one else is having issues. Could it be a possibility that (if you run active internet on that machine) the things may have phoned home and demo'ed themselves?

Tested the entire package with updates on test machine (no internet) and had 0 issues with demo noise.
