I have been unable to get Heat Up to see the Heat Up 3 Library.
Using: Initial.Audio.Heat.Up.3.v3.0.5-R2R-2019.01.20
with: Initial.Audio.Heat.Up.3.Library-R2R-2019.01.20

When opening Heat Up 3 I am presented with a GUI stating:
"Instrument Library was not found!
The Instrument Library for Heat Up 3 was not found at the default location.
Maybe you moved it or installed it to another location.
Click on the button below to locate the library on your computer, then hit OK."

I can browse to the library "HeatUp Library" folder (That is what the single folder on the ISO was named),
and select it and hit OK, but nothing seems to happen except being returned to the same GUI prompt.

I figured if there was a problem with the browsing/ selecting of the library folder, having it in the default location might solve it. So I created symlinks to the "Heatup Library" in various places that might be the "default location" it might look at, but no luck. I tried renaming the folder as well.

In Users\xxxx\Appdata\Roaming, there are 2 folders. One is "Heat Up 3" and the other is IgniteVST".
The "Heat Up 3" folder only contains "Heat Up 3.settings" file.
The "IgniteVST" folder contains a folder "Heatup3". Inside that are folders: Expansion Icons, Impulse Responses, LFOs, Presets, Release Samples, Sequesncer, Skins, and 3 settings text files.


I find no way to generate a challenge for the keygen until I locate the library (I see the options to activate, try as demo, or buy, along the bottom, but those are "greyed-out" and inaccessable)...just in case that is an issue. It seems to demand finding the library before that matters

I did notice that this release is no longer on sister site, and wondered if it was due to problems...
I have found nothing when looking for this problem and hoping someone has a clue...

I have a similar problem. except mine is that when I try to install an expansion pack, the installer just freezes with the little spinning wheel and does nothing. I can merge the libraries but they do not show up in the vst. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

 

I agree .. It works for me.. And remember that the Library will be install in Appdata (hidden) Folder.

Hey Guys, I'm having a helluva time trying to get Heatup 3 to work. For those of you who did, and downloaded the demo version off their site, do you remember what version it was? And could you share a copy? The R2R Keygen does NOT work with the new demo on their website, it doesn't use the Challenge Code type. So I'm hoping one of you still has a copy, because that keygen doesn't work on 3.0.3, 3.0.5, or the new one 3.6.3. I can't find any other versions. So the logical conclusion is you downloaded a version, before they fixed it. Can ya help a brother out?

 

I just downloaded the demo and it is the same one according to hash.
Make sure you select the proper product (NOT the default selection of "808 Studio II) in the keygen, and turn off any real-time monitoring by antivirus.

I just installed it to check the process, after not having it on my system for a while.
[ edit: Just to be clear, I installed on a new setup that never had it installed before]
I had not been inspired by what I tried, but considering I have a 204 Gig library for it, I barely tried anything, so it will stay installed.

Heat up 3 has pretty nice sounds , especially when you're looking for something like fast bread and butter sounds .
With a little bit of tweaking (shaper box,chorus,etc) you can get real nice sounds from that thing .
