Hi, I downloaded and succesfully installed Pianoverse vst from sister page, and It opens in Ableton with the message "Warning: sound content could not be found in path ..."
So I also downloaded one library, it has a exe file, but when I open it it gives me "This app can't run on your PC".
I got 64bits Win 11, can I actually run it? what can I do to run Pianoverse with its libraries?
Ill be waiting your kind replies, thanks in advance!

Thanks for the detailed message — here's a breakdown of what's going on and what you can do to get Pianoverse working properly with its libraries.

    Problem Summary:
    • You successfully installed Pianoverse VST.

    • It loads in Ableton Live, but gives this error:

"Warning: sound content could not be found in path ..."

    • You downloaded a Pianoverse library, which includes an .exe file, but when you run it, you get:

"This app can't run on your PC"

    • You're running 64-bit Windows 11.
    Diagnosis:
This kind of error usually happens when:

    1. The .exe file is not compatible (e.g., it's for macOS or 32-bit only).

    2. The file is corrupt, truncated, or fake.

    3. You're missing dependencies (like Visual C++ Redistributables).

    4. There's a mismatch between the VST and the library format.
    ✅ Steps to Fix It:
    1. Check if the .exe is for Windows
Sometimes the file looks like a Windows installer but is actually for macOS. Right-click the .exe → Properties → check Details tab:

    • If it shows strange metadata or very little info (e.g., no version or product name), it might be fake or corrupted.

    • You can also try opening it in a tool like 7-Zip to see if it has any contents.
    2. Try Running as Admin + Compatibility Mode
    • Right-click the .exe → Run as administrator

    • Right-click → PropertiesCompatibility tab → try setting compatibility to Windows 8 or 7.
    3. Check File Size and Re-download
Compare the file size to what others report (e.g. on forums or the download page).

    • If it's a few KB or MB and it should be several GB, it’s likely corrupted.

    • Re-download the library from the source.
    4. Manual Installation of the Library
Often, these .exe files are just extractors. Try:

    • Extracting the library files manually with 7-Zip or WinRAR.

    • Place the extracted folder into the expected Pianoverse content folder. This is likely where the VST plugin is looking for sound content.
Look for a folder named something like:
    C:\ProgramData\Pianoverse\Libraries
(or a custom location set in the VST settings)

    5. Configure Pianoverse Content Path
If Pianoverse has a settings menu (either inside the plugin or in a separate standalone app), make sure the library path is set correctly to where you placed the library.

    6. Check for Required Runtime Libraries
    Make sure you have:

These can fix some “app can’t run” problems if the .exe depends on them.

    Final Tips:
    • If the .exe refuses to run no matter what, but you can extract its contents (e.g. .nki, .wav, .bank files), then just manually point Pianoverse to the folder.

    • If this is a cracked or unofficial version from the “sister site,” be aware that:
      • Installers can be broken or incomplete.

      • Some versions require specific unpackers or steps, which might be explained in an included .txt or forum thread.
    ️ You Can Try This:
    1. Use 7-Zip to open the .exe and extract the content manually.

    2. Move it to:
      C:\ProgramData\Pianoverse\Libraries\YourLibraryName

    3. Load Pianoverse in Ableton and see if it finds the sound content.

    4. If not, look for a "Set content path" inside the plugin.
Let me know the name of the exact Pianoverse library you downloaded, and I can help you more specifically with folder structure or paths.

Did Chat GPT actually say this?

If this is a cracked or unofficial version from the “sister site,” be aware that:

I never understood the people who stayed on windows 7, but now that MS removed 32 bit app support from windows 11, I guess I'm staying on windows 10 on my music PC for the foreseeable future

Unless you are running some seriously old stuff, people will have workarounds for them. Pianoverse will not need any of them.

That stuff in that GPT output is like carpet bombing. This is probably the most relevant thing it mentions. Those comments are like if it was using vb runtimes from Visual Basic 5 or 6. (think dial-up era). Or it can be usual issues like not run as admin, etc.

    6. Check for Required Runtime Libraries
    Make sure you have:

These can fix some “app can’t run” problems if the .exe depends on them.

usually problem like this is some missing dependency/library, hard to tell which one, for ex. there are many MSVC++ and NETframework versions and also 32bit/64bit are separated,
sometimes it can also be Windows SmartScreen fuckery - in case app is too old, it may fail validation and be prevented from running - if so, you might have to disable SmartScreen completely

I doubt this is true  LOTS of programs still use 32bit components even nowadays
