    He died instantly! Tragic accident near Atlanta (USA): Michael "Chicago Mike" Sumler (71) crashed head-on into another car last Saturday. All help came too late.

    Kool & the Gang – Members mourn The legendary band ("Celebration") confirms the shocked loss of their colleague and friend. "We are deeply saddened by the passing of our longtime wardrobe attendant, Mike Sumler. Mike worked with Kool & the Gang from 2004 to 2015, ensuring the guys looked their best on stage every night. He thrilled the audience with his energy and dance moves.

    Everyone here at Kool & the Gang remembers Mike fondly and will miss him. May he rest in peace."
