Mike Garson played maybe my favorite piano parts ever on Aladin Sane and taught me to play what I feel.

    So, so many...

Not necessarily the "best" but certainly one of the most memorable of the period. (Doesn't appear to be any live footage around :dunno:)

George Duke's playing in the last section is utterly inspirational.

Good solos didn't end in the '70s of course. Now one of my all time favourites even though it's relatively young..

Virtually anything this guy plays could be put here but I particularly like the solo in this (as it's not pretending to be guitar). There aren't many keyboard players mad enough to take a huge modular rig like that out live, apart from Jordan Rudess of course.

I was moments away from posting Duke's incredible bits from Inca Roads which might be my all time favorite Zappa track (if there really is one, after all....), so instead from the same show I'll include this one as he walks away from the keyboard during his schtick, sips a drink from a can, plays a tambourine, dances with Napoleon Murphy Brock and then finally goes back to play some more.
