what i want to say about "lowest country (currency) price for buying plugin", for example : i'm European, a plugin cost 100€.
when (sometimes) i switch from $, the plugin cost 100$ or little lower.
and i save 12€.

but, some currencies (example for Yuan ¥) can offer even greater savings
soo, my question is : what is the best currency for getter plugin lower price ?

I sometimes buy plugins that I use often, sometimes I see plugins (difficult to crack or not available, like SoundToys or Soothe2) that are on promotion and I want to take advantage of a bargain, but I'd like to optimise by choosing the best currency.

 

i have ProtonVPN (paid version), and i want the full version of Reaktor 6 (macOS crack version not working great, because i have some synthetizer legit from my NI account) and the player version it's not enough for me.
actually, Plugin Boutique have specials offers for NI plugins, the classic price for Reaktor 6, is usually 200€.
actually, since somes hours, it is available at 80€.
70€ in $.

will follow this thread but i dont think it's possible to save €12 (on a €100 buy) just with different currencies, for so many reasons

You can probably save something buying with a USA address/account from UAD, but you'd need another address/account if buying from another developer, for example in NED or JAP

is it so convenient to have a different address/account for every developer? lol I dont think so

Another problem is that with a fake address you cant put those expenses in your annual report or income tax return

If you set your address to a region that doesn't collect VAT, you can sometimes find great deals on software. Try with Gibraltar (also set your currency to Gib).

 

You won't be getting any meaningful price parity on plugins. Usually the best you can do you're already doing. Developers don't really do any regional pricing other than USD/EUR.

 

ive purchased plugin bundles from a few dev's for significantly cheaper. I mean 70-80% off US price. I used vpn to say i was in india, and used an Indian address. Unethical? maybe. better than cracking? sure!

 

In this case, it would be useful to make a list of devs that do that. The only one I've seen that seemingly charge less depending on the region is the dude that makes PiMax.

 

Which devs? Apart from Melda and Image-Line, I don't know any other company offering regional pricing.

 

JRRSHOP with code FORUM or GROUP will give you better discount, my currency is very low against £, $, and € .. veeerrrry damn low and with additional 11% cursed TAX it becomes nightmare!

Imagine .. even with the lowest discount the price is still high, that is why i love gumroad price parity policy. It gives me a bit of happiness.
Using VPN might be OK at first, but when you put your CC number it will detect the origin of your country ..

I put a US CC with no issue. Well, actually, i believe i used paypal, and paypal generated the exchange currency.
