    inverted comma
    parenthesis
    period
    question mark
    quotation mark

    space
    Music must be explained in the language of music, but unfortunately this language cannot be expressed in writing.

    The fade out is not a choice, that’s a technique imposed by the medium: in the era of 7” the time on the vinyl was limited to 3 mins or so. If the song went on beyond that, you had to fade.
    Today, fade out is outdated

    Seriously, every piece deserves its own closure.
    I like unsettling ending, Gary Wright above is an example.
    Or think of the 3° movement of Howard Hanson - Symphony N°2, it seems quietly ending, then then an abrupt "doubt", then again quiet.
