Update : For me i ran 20 instances with other plugins and in Cubase 7.5 the CPU meter hardly moved it was already hovering around 25% and it barely moved to negligible 27%.

I7 3.8Ghz 64GB Ram

Guys, read the infos, you don't need an iLok dongle to use this,
just an iLok account, which you can open in 3minutes with a disposable email.



Finally someone who stop this freeware (like soundtoys) and special offers iLok non-sense.
Great to offer a full commercial plug for free. This is a very good move.

EDIT: Did a very quick try with AAX in PT10, just a Kick+Bass quick mix.
Seems friggin awesome. Take 5 min to get a good balance, really simple to get the right settings.
Nice the ability to change the routing of the modules via drag and drop.
O-Pressor sounds greattt. Saturation too, quite subtle and really pleasant.

EDIT:
Well, in PT10 I was able to instantiate 25 instances @ buffer 1024 before having glitches.
Heavier preset available (ALL BUTTONS), all modules running.
All this on a i5 2.5GHz 4GBRam.
To me it seems a little heavy, but not enough to call it a cpu hog.
It has to be considered that there are 6 effects/dynamic processors running in each instances,
so considering the optimization of having those 6 algos running in a single instance of the same vendor,
it's still like having let's say 4 single plugs x 25 = 100 instances of single task comparable CPU requiring plugs.
Not bad to me, considering it sounds really good at first impression.

BTW, the ability to change routing easily with drag n' drop is really cool,
that's the main thing that usually make me avoid the use of channel strips preferring single task plugs,
the inability to route stuff the way I like.

 

Is this for MAC only?

For people having problems getting the download link,
I opened 4 fake accounts (me greedy ) and got license on all of them,
so in future I'll be able to reinstall how many times I like
after a computer change or whatever without having to deal with iCrap support or whatever,
but on the last three (except 1st which I got my already installed copy) I didn't get the installers on e-mail.
Maybe they're overloaded with requests.

Anyway, I mirrored the installers on ul.to as eventide links seems session based and expires.

I love Eventide!!! I never used any Eventide plugins, but their hardware is amazing. Their guitar pedals are my favorite and can never be replaced. I can't wait to try their plugins. Would love to try the Blackhole plugin. Eventide is pricey! But well worth it I'm sure if its half as good as their guitar pedals!

Why?
1. Their crappy MAC Bitrock Installers (won't run on all Macs)!
2. No detailed System Requirements added (Plug-Ins don't work on older Macs).

Although there's a trick to run the Installer from "Terminal":
- Select UltraChannel-2.0.5-osx-installer
- Mouse Click "Show Package Contents"
- Contents > MacOS >
- Double click on "osx-intel" or launch it from "Terminal"
- Let install
- Done!
But this doesn't install the builds for older MAC OS!
