It's not the best image quality, so magnification doesn't help. It could be some custom thing, or done in Reaktor. Aside from that, it probably is not a Mac only application. The only really** good one which is Mac only is AudioEase Snapper, made by the same developer as Altiverb. It's in dire need of an update just like Altiverb 7 was; but it's not exactly a cash cow for them: https://www.audioease.com/snapper/
I do not think it is Soundboard or Soundplant, the kinds of programs used by Radio DJS for drop samples. It could be Mixxx, but I do not think so. It really is a low-res image of it.

Try to figure out a way to send him a message or email and ask.

that's some intense ipad action beardymans a legit big brain, but what i wanted just to see if somthing that looks like this squares layout but[IMG] but works like atlas or as a sample player just wanted to know if such a device existed the squares on beardy touch osc got my hopes up but it was a controller , good idea for a plugin tho combine a square sample layout with all your sample folder but with the ability to overlay controls like on touch osc youd need a huge touch screen tho

iOS makes sense, but for MacOS we basically have all the same sample manager applications available as Windows does. The only full-featured Sample Manager app we have on Mac which is not available on Windows is Samplism. It looks more like a mp3/playlist tool than a GUI like that.

I'm not enthralled with any of them really. Samplism seems to only go a certain number of folders deep before it skips scanning things.
