    Hi all!
I really like the Saxophone sounds of the Yamaha workstation. They are so sweet and inspirational. I've got some sax VSTs, some with Kontakt Player. But none of them is in competition.
Does anyone have a chance to own some patches for the Yamaha Saxophones? I want them so badly!
    Please help if you can!
    Much Appreciated! :dancing:

Have you tried Mojo Horns by Vir2 for Kontakt?
I think it has a nice sound and a good number of articulations to play in real time!!!

The S-YXG50 VSTi has about 20 sax patches.

Besides the HALion- and Vocaloid-Series, this is the one and only "original" Yamaha VSTi.

Try "The Sax Brothers" by Sample modeling. The best sounding saxophones I've ever heard.
    Check this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fs1rk6M-n60&feature=player_embedded#!

The sound is better than lots of the others but not as good as I think but I appreciate its numbers of articulation. However, the most disappointed point is the key range is too few, only 2 octaves (!?)... As you see, most of the other saxophone vsti cover the whole 88 keys instead

Hey, I really buy this product! But I wanna ask why it cannot sound in Kontakt? How can I play it using a keyboard controller like that guy in the video?
    Thanks in advance!!

I've it downloaded, but sadly it will need the BREATH CONTROL to use, unlike other Kontakt library. However the demo sounds great thou I agreed! :mates:

I will definitely check this out. Hope I will find what I'm looking for. Thank you mate!!!

I'm having it downloaded right now, will see what it's gonna sound like. I've checked on the website, sadly they dont even bother to make a demo for sax :(

Sorry, have you already purchased this product or do you intend to buy it ?
Anyway, you don't need a midi wind controller to get it to work, even if it's better to have one.
No sound in Kontakt ? Cmon dude : RTFM !!!... everything is clearly explained. Or read the FAQ...

"Q : I properly installed the instrument, but I don’t get any sound out of it.

A : As explained in the documentation, and on our web page, the dynamics of our instruments are controlled by so-called Continuous Controllers
(CC) which are, according to the MIDI standard, either CC11 (Expression), or CC2 (Expression on Wind - or Breath-Controller), or CC7
(Volume). Use of any of the above CCs is absolutely essential to play our instruments. For that reason the instrument displays an error message
reminding the user that he has not yet connected a CC11 source. Trying to play without expression control is like trying to play a real wind
instrument without blowing into it… or driving a car without the gas pedal.
Simply stated, it will not work!
As soon as you send CC11 (or, 2, or 7) to the instrument, the message will disappear and the instrument will be ready to play. The Saxophones
automatically recognize the first expression CC (either 11, 2 or 7) which is connected. The other instruments use by default CC11 (Keyboard
Mode) or CC2 (Breath- or Wind-Controller Mode).
Though not recommended, any other CC can be mapped to expression using the remapping menu."

    Code:
    http://www.samplemodeling.com/en/faq.php
It means you can assign CCs (and send relevant CCs' midi messages) from within your DAW. To achieve a convincing result, it's sometimes easier to draw them manually in your DAW than playing with any hardware controller...

Thanks, I am using m-audio venom and cubase 6 so how could I assign CC messages then? (Sorry, I am just a beginner...)

Would you be so kind to tell me what's the name of the breath controller used in the video I've posted ? I'm really interested into purchasing a breath controller like this one, which I can play only with my hands...
    :mates:

Click on "MIDI CC Remapping" in the instrument panel and, again, read the f*****g manual...

    GM doesn't sound at all.
As I said, it's the only one. Take it or leave it.
