Arturia usually does a lot of advertising beforehand to attract as many users as possible.

 

The use of the phrase "embargo until" sounds... Off? Though, the font(s) seem to be on point.

I guess the 24th shall be judgement day.

 

The embargo thing doesn't look like Arturia.

is an official ban on the export and/or import of goods and services to or from a particular country.

Let's see what happens on the 24th, maybe they'll hack Arturia.

 

It's a fine synth, just because it has been used to produce shit you don't like doesn't mean it's inherently a bad piece of gear. You could make the same argument about a Jupiter 8 or a Prophet 5 and a lot of cheesy 80's pop.

If you can't make it sound good I'd say that's a skill issue.

No, I'm not a big fan of a lot of trance or dubstep either, and it's not on my wantlist of things to have, but come on.

Embargo means journalists can't talk about until the release date. You can clearly see there was an embargo for the prior release.

The problem is the images posted by teknomix look fake. It's deliberately low-res and grainy, the Synthx is oddly cropped, the shadows are inconsistent, the image lacks the usual Arturia contact email addresses and the rest of the information. It also lacks a cohesive stylistic design that is common to other Arturia press relases.

 

For my money, I would've called it the JP8K V; it'd follow the naming style of truncating the OG synths' name each of the VSTs are modeled after. Maybe JP-8T V (Jupiter 8 Thousand V)? JP80 V, or JP8M V (might confuse users, so eh...)?
