Komplete has a monthly subscription but i'm not sure if its the ideal package for electro house track as i haven't looked at its plugins/sounds? If it is then its ok

or if you have another suggestion for a monthly subscription

Hi, NI subscription is very complete (no pun intended) as its say, probably the more versatile sub you'll find. So it's great for electro, but also ok for orchestral or more "organic" stuff. The more expensive, the more possibility you'll have with the orchestral/real instruments (it's mostly Kontakt banks) so for electro the small bundle should be enough.

Other great subscription for electronic music are the one from Arturia, but it's more "synth oriented" (mostly analog emulation but also Pigment which is one of the best modern synth for electronic). Not sure if they got a subscription option or if it's just a "rent to own" model (which in a way is better, as you don't have to pay anymore after 2 years). Roland and Korg have similar kind of sounds, but I don't know how their sub system work.

The Plugin Alliance bundle is also great, especially for FX and mixing tools, a little bit less with synth. Maybe not the best for electronic (although fx from Unfiltered are great tool for unusual fx). They also give you credit to buy plugin so you can keep using those even if you stop the subscription.

The Slate bundle is also ok, greats FX for mixing and ANA for the synth part, maybe not the most complete.

All that depend on your budget, for exemple, if you were thinking about going on the big sub for Native Instruments, maybe go for the small one and add the money left on other subsciption (or rent to own). Or take the Plugin Alliance and add a rent to own synth like Serum 2 (which is probably the best/most common synth in electronic music, with a lot of possibility).

To resume, Arturia, Roland or Korg are great for analog synth emulation, but not enough if you want mixing tools like compressor or EQ (not necessary needed because your DAW should have enough). Plugin Aliance and Slate are great for mixing tools, and NI is a bit the best of both world. For me PA and Arturia are the best for money (with the rent to own system from Arturia, and kind of the same with PA), but if you don't care about owning your plugin after some years, then NI is great.

Note that you have a lot of free instruments from Native Instruments so it can be a good thing to try first to see if you like their tools

ANA 2 is a very good synth, doing a lot of things.
    Even more with Serum.

Serum is more complex to master, ANA 2 offer less options BUT is faster to get modern "analog like" sound.

About KORG, Roland, Arturia ... too many "dated old school" sounds for me.
Listen to demos and forge your opinion :mates:
For Techno House, i would go ANA 2 over Serum. For a larger style, i would go Serum.

About FX, you don't need that much for starter. Most DAW ones will do the job.
But most DAW synths sucks compared to ANA 2 or Serum.

    Concentrate on synth(s) first

in regards " About KORG, Roland, Arturia ... too many "dated old school" sounds for me."

a tool is never dated, only the approach to using that tool becomes aged as it approaches "classic" status and no one tries anything different, or one when they do it sounds so different you don't even realize what you are listening to...

its kinda like saying C major is dated because its frequently used. Its the musician job, no his reason for being to wring new sounds from old noise, and new noise from old sounds.

Mozart didn't write the 1812 overture using a subscription, he stole it from Beethoven like real musicians do..

You don't give much to go on, as in what you've already using (DAWs, other plugins etc.). Have you written the track already and just need the sounds or what? What's your skill level with synths & samplers?

But yes, Komplete is very good, but I can't say if it or any other bundle is good for you. Because all of them are absolutely huge you can easily spend months just going through the presets, the samples and the kits. Even learning a couple of synths properly in a month is a stretch.

Maybe try one bundle subscription for a month, see what you like and what you don't. If it doesn't work out for you try another. That's a fairly realistic option.

Even better, pick up some freebies and learn them, for electronic music something like Surge XT and Vital are excellent. Sound-wise they're just as good as any commercial offering. For some clever FX the free Komplete Start is good (and well worth it just for Raum) even if you find Komplete is not for you.

If you are cranking out "commercial work" they can be better than the hassle of maintaining a bunch of paid software and all their licenses. That can be either studio work, or stuff you have headed towards some "label". There is nothing to clear or prove or anything. Everything in the project is from that developer and you have a license to use all of it.

If all the terms and prices were the same, I would maybe pick UVI subscription over NI for an "everything bundle". If I was just mixing, I'd still take Plugin Alliance. UAD and McDSP may be some better plugins, but PA can cover a lot more ground.

Most of them are half the price of a dog food or smartphone wireless carrier subscription. Not a big amount of money, but you still want to read the terms and conditions as closely.
