This is true but putting something good in also does not guarantee something good will come out.

 

People have been using Google for almost 30 years now, and those who cannot build effective search strings about the correct subjects still cannot find their own ass with both hands. Then they actually have to read and comprehend the material.

RTFM has existed as an expression just about as long as people have been using the internet to look for technical information about their whatever problem. It was eventually mostly superseded by the slightly more polite "Google It". When people continued asking dumb questions they could have looked up themselves on Google, they began getting the slightly less polite and cliche nerd humor of LMGTFY links as replies instead.

Skip all of the above, and *other people's time* involved, and now those people get AI responses. That is mostly because it is so painfully obvious they have not lifted a finger to figure something out themselves, or do not possess the correct human intelligence to solve their own problems. When do we ever see, "I'm trying to figure out this plugin, and on page 32 of the manual it says I should..."? You can count those instances on your fingers.

See what happens when we all just wait for those who like to parachute in after someone else already tries to answer something, so they can act like they knew the answer from the jump.

I hear what you're saying and it has always come down to asking the right questions, even before the Internet, if a person wants the right answer, that is.
As for RTFM, that's a given. I used to buy software for the written manual pre-Internet. Many people got lazy and want to press buttons without one instead of taking the time to learn the inner workings. This is the age we now live in. Now, I still download the manual if it does not automatically come with one and when I buy a piece of software, I buy it for the support.

it looks like the Howard Stern Afro and Sunglasses band, but its Ian Hunter from Mott the Hoople playing a catchy number from "You're Never Alone with a Schizophrenic"..

I have trouble humming this song as it has to much drums, which makes me lose the melody as I have to start imitating drum noises and eventually i lose interest and go back to playing with the ball of yarn or the sock with the catnip in it..
