No problems here with the Dev release, LPX 10.0.7 and various common 3rd party plugins... (Diva, Zebra 2 and DZ, NI stuff jnc K5, Amplitube, 2CAudio, Waves, etc...)

In fact, iI haven't come across any plugins so far at least, that don't work under Yosemite that work under Mavericks 10.9.3... Thats not to say I won't later on as I test more and more but so far, so god.

No issues with LPX 10.0.7 either so far..... and Motu/RME/Presonus drivers working great.

Its going to be more about drivers for external hardware i suspect than anything else, that might have issues....

Look out M-Audio/Mackie/Digi/Avid owners.. Get ready for yet another rough ride because of the low quality/instability with new OS X versions/compatibility issues (Based on past experiences) of your hardware drivers..

Actually, that's good advice except, don't partition a drive.... unless you are happy with a drop in the partitioned drive's performance... Just use a fast non-partitioned external drive to test and install/boot from it...

It doesn't work. I had about 6 plugins resurrected with 32 lives that worked fine with mavericks and they don't work now in Logic Pro. They do show up in the AU manger but they say "can not work" or something...and theyre unchecked...Maybe wait. =(

32 lives works but it seems that the crack from core doesn't work on yosemite so you would need to save the license on another partition or mac then copy it to the 32 lives folder manually. My biggest problem with the switch has been maschine 2 and Guitar Rig 5 not working. Any suggestions on how i can get these apps to launch on OS X 10.10? Pretty sure its a driver issue just can't find a workaround.

update- After installing the OS X.10.10 update developer update beta 5 that was released a few days I was able to get the core keygen working again and 32 lives authorized, Still not able to get maschine 2 to load at the moment but I will let you know if anything changes within the next few days

well im open to suggestions to fix maschine 2. That and gtr 5 seem to be the only plugins/standalones that dont work on my system, tried every version i could get my hands on with no luck. To fix the 32 lives issue upgrade your yosemite to developer preview 5(google) and redo the install /license process and you should be good to go.

I had the official yosemite beta installed via App Store during test period in July/August(?). Only thing I can say is: STAY away from it as of yet. It pretty much fucked up my whole system and I had to clean install 10.8. again and start all over with my Audio Stuff. I use Maschine 2 also. I found out thae Reset Permissions seemed not to work well with yosemite. Batchmod seemed more reliable.

I also have it installed on a second drive and can't say I've hit any issues so far. Logic and Maschine both run fine.

As stated earlier, install to another drive so you can test it prior to making the final upgrade. Use Carbon Copy Cloner or something similar. Don't just make the jump without testing or at least backup your current config.

yeah there is NO WAY IN HELL i am going NEAR yosemite for probably years on my studio machine.. (hell, just went to ML this summer because I HAD to, miss SL).....

If you insist on trying it, absolutely clone your working system drive... a 1tb drive costs peanuts these days and it's always good to have a backup system regardless...

I have just updated to Yosemite on my laptop and everything seems to work fine, even 32 lives (I still have 1.02 version), except Illformed Glitch 2, which doesn't seem to pass validation in Logic X. It does pass in Logic 9, though. It is literally the only thing that is keeping me from updating to a new OS on my main computer so I would like to know, if any of you guys have the same problem with validating this plugin?

    +1 here.
i think that's a illformed issue, i tried the demo from their website, still crashing. maybe they need to update it.

there's this statement on illformed FB page:
OS X Yosemite users: I'm aware of the AU validation problem. I should have a fixed beta version ready within the next couple of days.

    EDIT:
Illformed dropped a beta version for registered users in the members area. Still no demo available to register with R2R KG, thou

The old 32 bit sonnox plugins don`t work anymore because of some veclib.framework error (yes i use 32 lives)

So this is so bad news, like switching back to logic 9, or what else can be done?
    What about Jbridge?

32 Lives works under 10.10 for me now. It didn't work right after updating from 10.9.5, but I didn't notice that right away. I just noticed that the wrapped plugins I used the most didn't validate on the first run of Logic X. After trying to unwrap/rewrap them with no success, I noticed that 32 lives was running in Trial mode. I also saw somewhere where someone had success by unwrapping and rewrapping all available 32-bit plugins at the same time. I unwrapped every wrapped plug, used AppDelete to remove everything associated with 32 lives. Installed 32 Lives again. Ran the registration on it again. Then selected every 32-bit plugin and wrapped them all. Run the AU manager in Logic again. Anything not validated the last time was deselected. So I had to check the box beside some to attempt to validate them again. So far, everything that was working in 10.9.5 now validates in 10.10. I tested Sylenth1 and it work fine.

I don't have any of their plugs, but I don't see why they wouldn't. You might have to recheck the boxes in the AU manager after you reinstall 32 Lives. I don't think there are any that don't work now that didn't work before the update and the reinstall.
