Live 12 Plugins scan - any way to turn it off?

    Hi, is there any way to run off the plugin scan?

    It really annoying when I am making a song every time I click on the 'plugins' category from the browser menu it shows the empty list while rescanning for 2-3 seconds delay. Like :wtf: ???? It never used to do that and I really don't have many plugins, about 20 or so total. I looked in settings but didnt see anything obvious. If theres way to stop this PLEASE help!

    there is not.

    but you can open the settings page, quickly and cancel the scan. thats what i do. (if you are very sure nothing has changed.)

    I think that could get even more annoying and possibly take longer than 3 seconds having to click around several times to switch it off every time I want to grab something. its crazy theres no way to switch it off. I mean imagine performing 'Live' and when inspiration strikes trying to throw on a specific plugin for a quick break or approaching transition on the fly :thumbsdown:

    Oh well I hope they fix this in updates soon.

    its like that since they rewrote the plugin scanner i believe, something like 11.x.x - I doubt this will ever get fixed or improved.

    I dont know why they removed this flag?
    It just takes ages to scan lots of plugins and even nothing could have changed, still the same plugins. :snuffy:

    very annoying on older systems too.

    I wish there was, never had problem with live ,till this. Went back to live 11 to check how it was and instantly switches from any other folder to vst plugins straight away.Plugin list there instantly. wheres every time I click on plugin list in 12 on mine its like 10 to 12 seconds now before I can see the list. if I click on lives own plugin list or any other folder then back it does it again takes ages, with three dots.Not like ableton to have that happen every time.Must be a simple solution .will try 12.2 when out see if it still does it
