U-he releases "Diva - the Spirit of Analogue" Public Beta with Introductory Discount Offer

Berlin-based developer u-he (Urs Heckmann) has now released a public beta of their new synth Diva,
and a special introductory price.

Diva's oscillators, filters and envelopes (which can be mixed and matched) closely model components also found in some of the great monophonic and polyphonic synthesizers of yesteryear. "But," says Urs, "what truly sets DIVA apart is the sheer authenticity of the circuit emulations – at the cost of a relatively high CPU-hit, DIVA is the first native software synth that applies methods from industrial circuit emulators (search for "PSpice") in realtime. Especially the authentic behaviour of DIVA's zero-delay-feedback filters, when pushed to the limits, demonstrates the advantages of this groundbreaking approach."

u-he describes the available filters as "famous transistor ladder", "screaming Sallen-Key", "classic OTA ladder" and "OTA state-variable" (and similar for the oscillators), and owners of classic analogue synths will already know how best to apply these models – they are easily differentiated in the gorgeous user interface.

This is the best sounding softsynth so far, in terms of sounding like old hardware synths ..

 

U-he has been know in the past to put "malicious" code in his plugs that will look for unauthorized versions of his software on your system and revert them back into demo mode. Im just sayin....... Hacker tactics?

 

You're right subGENRE! Similar happens with Tone2 products......
Maybe it has to do with the strict/straight German mentality of the developers?
But Intolerance knows no boundaries, as we know.

I like the sounds of Uhe synths but it seems like all of them put too heavy of a load on my cpu , so I will pass and stick to sylenth1 and massive but thanks its always good to hear about new synths !!!!!

 

Eagerly awaiting Berlin Mod (Bazille, ACE XL and L.U.S.H all in one)!! U-he is the master. If you have ACE, Bazille, Thyrell or any of his previous work you know it's class. Awesome!
I will sure check this beta out.
