I will never use fl studio again. After 15 years of use I switched to studio one.. Even if fl studio is free I will not use it. It is not stable, soviet design, extremely inconvenient mixer, and also the licensing policy

it was never free! the smallest license was 59$ and it was barebone FL.

The design has its advantages for some things and i think its a good DAW still.

S1 has its own problems :) just like almost all DAWs have some quirks.

go easy on the copium ;)

i set up a template for my needs in FL 20, there is not a single feature im missing for what i want to do with it, so why upgrade and clutter my workflow with features i dont need.

Soviet design? what does that even mean? Stability? Sounds like a you issue. I never see crashes. The mixer is probably my favorite part about FL Studio. What licensing policy? Buy the product, get free updates for life. What's there not to like?

Need? not always...maybe its my Adult ADHD, but having every possible instrument you can imagine already setup, bussed, named, sidechained in some cases, all routed properly is very handy. Yes, sometimes I am making something that has tons of sounds, and instead of adding it to the mixer, naming it, routing it, gain staging, etc., all I have to do is drop the sample on the playlist and route it to wherever it may belong on the mixer, whether it be a string, a synth, pad, drumroll, etc., its all already there on the mixer. If you wouldn't find that helpful then I don't know what to tell ya.

I don't know about that video you speak of, but I do know what you're talking about. What you said about fitting my work flow. perfectly on point.
