Hi,

A few months ago I installed the plugin ''Eternal arps by Pitch innovations'' and it has become my absolute favorite arp plugin.
Everything worked perfectly but since last week I suddenly get the error message ''Ilbride Access Violation at address 00007FF866E53020 in module ''MSVCP140.dll Read address of 000000000000000.
I have reinstalled the vst several times without success.

Can someone tell me what is wrong here and how I can solve it?

Im working on:
Fl studio 24.2.2 "Build 4597
Win 10.

 

Did you already try reinstalling the necessary runtimes? google "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015-2022 download".

It could just be a problem with the actual release you installed. Or a permissions issue by not installing as an Administrator. Leave that information because it is the next thing someone will need.

Great plugin, if you want random. All of their plugins are nice

 

Please Download the Missing " MSVCP140.DLL" here: https://www.dll-files.com/msvcp140.dll.html
Then unzip the downloaded ZIP file and copy the DLL to “C:\Windows\System32”.

This is seriously bad advice. Do not, not now, not ever, download DLL files from the net and put them under Windows\ unless you're absolutely certain what you're doing.

What @clone said, this comes with the VC++ redistributables, and they can be repaired on reinstalling them if they're somehow broken. If a patched (and this is not one of times) DLL is needed then it should be placed next to the application/plugin that needs it, then maybe (and again only if one knows what they're doing) in the DLL search path.

Get the latest one straight from Microsoft: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist ignore the older ones unless you're running an old application, but installing them won't hurt either.

 

This isn't true; FL Studio usually has problems because this file MSVCP140.DLL missing.
I've installed this file several times, and it solved the FL Studio problem.

I cheered too early...
after restarting my pc I get the same error message again /:

Before I started cheering again I restarted my pc 3 times and it still works now.

If an application needs that particular file Windows (it's dynamic linker, to be exact) will choose the right one since any system will have several installed:



If you replace any one of these without making sure it's the exact right one for your system, the risk of breakage is not small. Do not do it.

If and application is misbehaving and missing one of these files from the redistributables (msvcp..., msvcrt... etc.) and reinstalling the redistributable doesn't help, the correct (yet risky unless the DLL comes from a trusted source, e.g. Microsoft themselves) way to do this is to copy the DLL file next to the executable.

This way that DLL will get loaded before any system one, but it will not affect anything else.

 

If anyone has the same problem I think installing the Visual C++ Redistributable package from the official microsoft website fixed it.

If you link this plugin to for example to Serum it's absolutely amazing.
My productions are really 10x now.
