I don’t know much about PCs, and although I downloaded Komplete 12 Collector’s Edition, I got frustrated with Native Access, so I decided to install the Komplete 9 Ultimate I used a long time ago.

I downloaded a collection of 31 .iso files.
When I mounted Disc 1 and ran Komplete 9 Ultimate Setup PC.exe as an administrator, I got the message: "Please run this installer from original DVD", and the installation could not proceed any further.
Things I tried but failed:
Changing the OS using a virtual machine and testing compatibility settings. The same message appears on Windows 11, 10, and 7.
A method I found on Reddit that involves mounting the CD and mapping a path to a folder. (English is not my first language, so even with a translator, I couldn’t fully understand which folder to map.)
Another Reddit post mentioned that the MacOS installation files need to be present. However, I can no longer find a Mac version of Komplete 9 Ultimate anywhere...
Despite all this, Kontakt 5 and Guitar Rig Pro install just fine. But for the rest of the files, even if I manually run each file in the Sub Installer folder, I still get the same "Please run this installer from original DVD" message.
I’ve been struggling with this issue all weekend... Can someone please help me?

1. Create disk image with files inside and mount it
2. Create virtual dvd and map to install folder
3. You need to have both Mac AND PC installer files in the same folder.

What I tried to say is NI doesn't support any of older software. Even Kontakt 7 is out!
It's all over Native Access now.

But it seems there are some solutions here.

 

Most Komplete 9 instruments still work (though not all of the old ones are Apple Silicon, not that it matters here), so you're right, it is an installer problem. Can you please link to the Reddit thread, maybe we all can figure it out?

I did manage to find a K'd copy of the full Ultimate for Win/Mac so it is out there.

Thank you for all the answers you provided. I found through the Process Monitor program that my installer file is looking for the inteanaceNODVD.dfm and inteanaceNODVD.dfm.miaf files but cannot find them. If you can assist with this issue, I would appreciate your help.

the installer is probably complaining about being run while the protection is demanding to "see" an actual dvd disc in a drive. Old copy protection. So the installer has to be either tampered with to not look for an actual dvd, or that needs to be emulated so the installer thinks it sees one in a drive.

This is what the "cracked" versions of it were released for in the first place. You can find and download either PC or Mac, and anything else is going to be pretty much a waste of your time.

So what should I do? I just mounted the disk with WinDCEmu and ran it, but I still get the same warning...

 

You should start with the correct software, and 10+ year old software, the only place I would even trust would be torrent websites, otherwise most downloads will be fakes. Using DuckDuckGo search engine is best for this. Look in your private messages here, I sent you some information about v9. Do not delete the DVD copies, but cracked v9 should be about 4gb additional for Mac or PC.

V12 is much easier to download and install. It's also much smaller 16gb not 30+ dvds. The Mac version will run on High Sierra. On newer versions of MacOS it makes more sense to just install the individual plugins you actually use now. For me, anyway.

How to use separate dvds
1- download dvd1 it must be to make other dvds working.
2- download any dvd you wanna to try or use, and extract it in the same folder of dvd1 after tat run the insaller it will detect the new dvd.

How to use cracks and install :
1- you need to download DVD 1 ( contain installers)
2- install the software you need win or mac
3- download cracks for win or mac.
4- you check cracks folder and install what you need from files or software it will be cracked for good.
