It's okay. Just delete all of your distortion generators but the amp's and it's good.

Try muting the drums from 3:07 to 3:12, after the vocal let the guitar kinda solo, then bring the drums back in.
Give that a listen, see what you think.

For my taste, the bass is too wide, and it takes up too much space in the mix frequencywise as well. The kick gets lost in comparison and has not enough weight / punch. Are you able to listen to the sub while mixing? If I turn off the subwoofer it sounds pretty good but with the sub it gets rather messy.

Thanks mate. Unfortunately my monitoring isn't ideal. I don't have a sub and use Focal Alpha 50's as monitors. I had to commit the bass and drum tracks to save CPU and think the sidechain got lost somehow. I can still try and save that in the mastering stage and you just confirmed what I suspected. Cheers for the input.

I am glad that I could help. I was a bit hesitant to comment at all because assuming things about others is something, that I tend to avoid. If you can afford it, I am sure a subwoofer or – if you can't use a subwoofer because of your neighbors – a Subpac, would help a lot, because your mix without the sub is pretty good.

Attempted to rectify and tame the bass in this mix, do you think I went too far?

I think it is a lot better now. I would maybe add up to a db around 800hz and remove a db around 140hz. Furthermore, I would remove a db at around 5khz. With the boost at 800hz, there is a resonant guitar tone for example around the 2-min mark at around 650hz that you might want to lower a bit. You can add up to an additional 5db of gain overall with the limiter I think. I am not an expert with hard rock/metal though.
