    Important:
    • These builds will expire about 6 months after they're available.
    • Don't make anything important with them as there are bound to be big bugs from time to time.
    • On Windows, install this separately from the regular (stable) FL Studio version.
    • On macOS, this will install as "FL Studio BETA.app".
    Known issues
    • FL Studio Mobile may freeze when opened during the tests.
    • Deleting Mixer Tracks associated with Instrument/Audio tracks will have unwanted results (Playlist tracks/Channels will be linked to the master and remain Inst/Audio tracks).
    What's New?
    • FL Studio
      • Audio Clips - Additional per-Clip ''Disabled'' declicking option for Fade in and Fade out envelopes.
      • Export - Better handling of duplicate sample names when exporting to zip.
      • FL Studio Remote - Added support for FL Studio Remote Version 2.
      • History - Deleting Mixer & Playlist Tracks can now be undone.
      • News Panel - Added an animation to the News toolbar button when a new notification appears and (Right-Click) 'Refresh' option (the news is normally checked once per day).

      • Mastering - The mastering window can now update previews in real time based on parameter changes.
    • Mixer
      • Dynamic Mixer Tracks - Add and delete Mixer Tracks as needed. The maximum number of Insert Tracks have increased to 500 up from 125. There is reduced CPU load when unused Tracks are removed.
      • Insert Mixer Menu Options - Insert one track, Insert mixer tracks or add Tracks from a preset list. These options are also avaiable from (Right-Click) on the + 'Add Mixer Track' icons on the Mixer Toolbar and at the end of the Insert Tracks in the Mixer.
    • Browser
      • Folders - Now show Sample / Content preview for folders in the Tab Menu 'Columns' view mode.
      • Tabs - The Library Tab has been renamed to Presets, better representing the content.
    • Playlist
      • Slice Tool - The default mode for the Slice Tool is now vertical, hold (Right-Click) for diagonal slicing.
      • Automation Clips - Names of Automation Clips for Effects on Instrument Tracks improved.

The main innovation, which wasn’t even documented, was that VST3 plugins can now see the names and colors of mixer tracks. So, FabFilter Pro-Q 4, Neutron, SSL 360, etc., finally work flawlessly. Everything else is just icing on the cake.

Well, this wasn't working a few months ago, I don't know in which version it got fixed, but the main thing is that it works now.

I don't understand the whole hype, for me it's even pathetic at the moment, they added a plus button to the mixer and the whole community is driving crazy, what's next? change the number of the version and we all start taking shots ?

Beta versions frequently do have expiration, because they are for testing prior to release. It's why many Teams do not ever release beta versions of anything.

Creativity has nothing to do with fewer or more features
It's the user who has to be creative.

I'm also a serious user, but I find FL Studio's treatment of its users ridiculous. Image Line has a long, endless list of possible implementations, but they haven't implemented them for years. There are hardly any new features, while others are catching up quickly and already have some new functions. FL Studio is still lagging far behind.

Ableton is very good and way ahead, as are Cubase and Bitwig. The only thing we've been getting for years is an old mixer where you can simply delete a slot and get an additional external VST plugin for mid-range and side effects. Instead of being able to insert these into an equalizer like a parametric EQ,

more and more plugins and features are added that nobody needs, and in the long run, it constantly crashes and has many bugs. In my opinion, FL Studio should be rebuilt from the ground up so that it works flawlessly and at least becomes an industry standard for DAWs.

The only good thing about FL Studio is that it has gained some AI features. Overall, nothing significant has changed in FL Studio, apart from a few bug fixes and a few minor tweaks. Otherwise, it's still the FL Studio we all know, with its workflow, etc.

Edit: If you take a closer look, almost all of the included plugins are still very outdated. For example, the compressor. Or they have simply replaced a reverb. Additionally, not much has changed since FL Studio between FL Studio version 7 and FL Studio 2024. They still sound almost the same. The entire DAW has become a bit duller and louder, which makes the whole mix louder.

Luckily I only do music as a hobby but these things still bother me

just a remark, Waves finally added VST3 support for the multiband/parallel splitter of StudioVerse so finally can be used
    February 12, 2025
    ...
StudioVerse Audio Effect and StudioVerse Instruments (v15.5.139.322): Third-party VST3 plug-ins now load in parallel and multiband split.
    ...

free one, https://www.waves.com/studioverse has instrument version too , I don't think this will be in FL Studio anytime soon, I just brought it up, sorry for the off-topic, however, it makes FL Studio much more usable, so just be aware of it.

This still won't make it a serious DAW; it will keep the playful feel, won't hinder creativity, but will still be more usable

if you had my template flp you wouldnt be saying that. i spent weeks setting up busses and chains. i have all 125 mixer tracks used and it isnt enough. i have been waiting for years for this specific update. having a mixer that can do 500 tracks is amazing.

I think FLStudio is at sheer feature creep situations now, its adding stuff that is not really ground breaking for a while now its just been adding stuff that is not really great just QOL and at that its not even make or break type of features.

Because its a heavily pop cultured DAW now its subject to all the Noob Gen Z and how they want all stuff that is useless. imo its adding stuff that is annoying like Cloud and all this other BS like Ai stuff, if it starts getting to corny, annoying or bloated i will just go back to 11 or 12.

Even though the DAW gets a lot of hate, realisitcally it is the DAW for noobs in 2025 and it also the DAW that noobs gravitate to. It is heavily pop cultred and they keep adding all these ADHD sort of changed to it. the majority culture of this DAW now is kids. So now when it starts feeling like they adding all these kid features it makes sense.

FL Studio literally has this sort of feature creep... Take the plugin manager as example.

You can basically open the Plugin manager from several different areas of the DAW....This is bad design and i brought it up recently in the suggestions thread on their forums and was met with Crickets.

    Why is it bad? (Cons)
    - Because its feature creep
    - It muddies up several menus when it only needs to be in one menu
    - it also is bad visually because its more that the brain has to process internally when looking at a menu
    - that feature only has to be in one place not several.

I recall years ago this feature creep issue was brought up and one of the Devs said they like the fact that it is accessible in several places.

IMO all it achieves is menu clutter in a DAW that is starting to suffer from cluttered menus and features that repeat over several areas of the DAW causing nothing but more mental processing and cluttered menus.

That is BS no one really needs that many busses. There is also patcher and send to.

an actual physical SSL board has from 16 - 32 channel. the iconic series range from like 16 to 64.

Anyone who says they need more then the 125 bus available is stretching. No one uses that many channels. You can uses things like patcher or some other virtual rack. You also have sends and the send plugin itself, i doubt you actually need more than 125 bus that is so unrealistic.

It's not as extreme as you might think. For orchestral music, people have track counts that high in Cubase pretty regularly. I know, FL is not geared towards those users. But there are a lot of electronic music producers who do that, because they don't bounce anything at all until the very end. They want control of every little noise and every detail about them; but it could be called fear of committing stuff. One more situation where people will have those high track counts, is when they have a ton of vocal comping they want to keep all separated too.

When people make big templates like that, they will often end up with a bunch of empty tracks. It's setup to have every option that fits their workflow with it setup and and ready to use at a moments notice. There is a Michael Brauer video where that is almost the entire subject matter. It's title is PureMix Michael Brauer The Evolution From Analog to Digital Brauerize TUTORiAL, and you should be able to find a shared copy :)

Not everyone is filling up Bus with useless shit "just in case" that is counter productive. I just think its bad to think that you need lots of mix bus. 30 is going to be a normalized ammount for most people and then 50 is getting up there.

Orchestral does not count your average bedroom producer is not making orchestral from a live band that is sectioned and has many various forms of instrument with their own external chains.

    1. Small Chamber Orchestra: Typically consists of about 10 to 40 musicians.

    2. Standard Symphony Orchestra: Usually has between 70 and 100 musicians.

    3. Large Symphony Orchestra: In some cases, especially for grand works or collaborations, the number of musicians can exceed 100, potentially reaching up to 120 or more.
For the average Bedroom Producer i think you are stretching the fact. Unless you making some sort of shit post meme. Either that or you are just highly inefficient with your mixer.
