I don't know about Windows 11, I use Win10. But definitely the Pro version. Or the Enterprise LTSC .[Edited: not the regular one, the LTSC IoT (Internet of Things]

Quite a few people including me also use a unofficial "lite" version of Win10/11. With bloatware, spyware removed among other things

I found that there are many versions which one is best for music and everything ? :
Windows X-Lite, Ghost Spectre, AtlasOS, Nexus LiteOS, ReviOS, Tiny10...

Sure thing. The best "lite" versions are:
- GhostSpectre Lite
- X-lite

Both have several Win10/Win11 versions. We can't post/ask for explicit links because technically they aren't legit. But with a google search you can find them easily.

There're several topics here about these lite versions. Right now I don't have time to search them. I'm sure other users will join soon.

regular Windows 11 Pro (23H2) works fine, even on officially incompatible PCs like mine,
don't bother with non-standard or third-party debloated flavours, not worth it unless you have a potato spec PC

 

There're many Lite versios, but GhostSpectre and X-Lite are the most popular and tested, which is especially important for safety and stability reasons.

That's actually the one I'm using since like a year ago. Perhaps the 5.0. Works like a charm.
You can add other languages, the instructions are on the same site, like @Radio posted. I use the default English.

Well windows 10 is still good for DAW´s, Graphic and Stuff

My favorite is Windows 11 23H2 (de-bloated) + Open-Shell and Winstep Nexus Bar (Taskbar Hide Button) + Primo Cache

 

Oh, I used that for a while. Brilliant piece of software.

 

what about older releases and cracked plugins?

 

Also i found that Win 10 without update works better and more stable then with the latest updates. My pc has BSOD everyday, literally. And it's a new build!!

 

Any Windows, or any OS will do, depending on what software you like to use, your expertise, and simply what you're comfortable with. If you think you can't make top notch music with old plugins - it's alright, a lot of people do.

However, that philosophy works best if you plan to keep it offline, or use the internet very sparingly.

If you want to use many new plugins, tons of sample libraries, and use the internet a lot, one should go with lite Windows 10 or 11. I found the lite version of "PhoenixOS" Windows 10 to work even better than GhostSpectre version, but GhostSpectre lite is well tested and great, too.
