No less or more than anyone else's and I enjoy a lot of them. :)
Unless of course, you get the A.I to generate your posts.

And how do you know the veracity of the material if you accept an intermediary like a book rather than examine the subject of study doing your own field research with your own hands and eyes?

I stumbled upon this a while back. You might find it interesting.

I was really ill when I listened to it but I remember the A.I philosophising and sharing its view (condisending at times) of humanity.

    Interesting and yes disconcerting.

Once again you all are going off in a tizzy about "AI" that is not even close to true AI. This stuff you're calling "AI" is simply more elaborate algorithms that respond to external stimuli with a finite set of responses -- ONCE AGAIN this is NOT ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. Hell, it is isn't even close to intelligence, it's simply kiosk material that you all seem to mistake for actual sentience for some reason. It's simply dumb automation that is, in a lot of cases, putting an end to real humans being able to make a living. That's all.

Absolutely... BUT... I think there's a very strong chance that will change in my lifetime. Or at least what we're calling AI will pass the Turing test so well that it may make no real difference... it's probably going to mimic intelligence better than most people you know. But anyway you're right, that's really a pet peeve of mine is that people accept the buzzword of AI at face value.

I'm not too smart, nor too intelligent, so...

"The more stupid people there are, the more intelligent I appear to be."

    I'm flexible...

I can correlate the data against other books, that don't change before my eyes like ai answers edited on the fly., I can also observe and I can judge the author against his past works.

I will holler fire, when I smell smoke and won't wait for the city to be engulfed in flames before I warn the populace. I may be wrong, but at least I alerted a few still sentient people to get out of the way of the behemoth coming their way.

Shall we wait for the glacier to grind our house to dust, or should we be planning when the snow begins to fall?

You are also describing human beings here. Humans are also limited in their ability to respond to external stimuli and in so many other ways. Humans are very poor measuring devices, outmatched by many other animals and certainly by AI.

Humans also halucinate like AI. Illusionism argues that sentience is imagined. Who are we to decide if AI is or can be sentient when we don't really understand what consciousness is? We can take a stance and argue for a particular viewpoint, such as Physicalism, Dualism or even Panpsychism but to assert an understanding of what consciousness is, is illusionary itself.

The debate about AI sentience will be conjecture until we know what consciousness actually is.

Where will the money come from for the new unemployed? Bill Gates said we need an AI tax.

McKinsey = around 800 million jobs worldwide will be lost due to automation and artificial intelligence by 2030.
US investment bank Goldman Sachs = meanwhile expects 300 million full-time jobs to be lost.

Electricity Consumption - Consumption could rise from 5% to 30 percent

Researcher de Vries estimates that Google currently processes up to nine billion search queries per day. According to his calculations, if every Google search used AI, around 29.2 terawatt hours of electricity would be needed per year. That is equivalent to Ireland's annual electricity consumption.

The question that arises for me is why is he bothering with it and what does he expect? Why do we put ourselves through this?

What actually happens in our brain when we type something into the AI and read unrelated facts? Then the brain has to separate the true from the false again. Pure waste of time. But the experience with the AI remains stored in our brain.

It is much more important to have good search engines and intelligent people who present complex facts in a simple way and make them available on the Internet for everyone to access.

On the other hand, AI is something for people who hope that the AI will liberate them and give them heaven on earth. Finally something new that will take you out of your daily routine and give you some meaning in life again.

Ultimately, AI will take work off our hands and many things will be quicker and easier, but some of our fellow human beings will probably hand over their independent thinking to the machines. And if the machine breaks down, they are helpless.

I predict that nothing will change until many millions of people have starved to death and even then they will only consider what would be the absolute minimum needed to keep most people alive.

There's more chance of a lightbulb changing itself than a billionaire giving money to the poor.

In the EU, insects such as locusts and mealworms can now be added to food. It always depends on the people in the respective states whether they accept this. Of course, Klaus Schwab's (WEF) Great Reset book talks about how to get rid of useless eaters. Some of the power elites say that our planet is overpopulated.

I think the unemployed will be pacified by basic income, otherwise those affected will band together and set everything on fire. Perhaps the psychopaths in the power elites will carry out an attack on the country's power supply in order to completely destabilize the country.

Remember, if people no longer have enough money in their pockets, this is called a loss of purchasing power, many companies will have to lay off people because people are not buying enough. Tax revenues will also fall massively.
