I already have the Elysia stuff & Softube Complete [Lic 2015]. I didn't find any PA particulars that I need. Can you list some particulars. I might as well try.

Maag EQ4, some people like the Noveltech plugins. The Brainworx utility plugins are useful tools. SPL utilities, but I mostly would use Transient Shaper because it is very small and light. You can find 50 others just as good. DSMv2 compressor/limiter is good tool but Waves style. and Vertigo (bx also) VSC-2 compressor. They are all decent utility plugins, for functions you might expect to find in your DAW's sock plugins, or small and lightweight without having to get past 100 Waves plugins to get to them.

I don't have a copy unfortunately, the earlier link was what was sent with the mail. I tried crossgridder with crossover but couldn't get stuff I wanted to work, so I got rid of it.

If you have a sufficient amount of RAM in your Mac, the simplest solution for you would probably just be to run a Windows 10 VM inside Parallels Desktop with the PC Version of Audiogridder Server installed there. Then the Mac Plugin inside your DAW. The Mac plugin installer will install copies of it as AU format .component file, VST, and VST3 copes which you will be able to run in whatever DAW/host you want. https://audiogridder.com/download/

You will have way less problems with Windows plugins running in Parallels then you will with a Audiogridder instance inside a Crossover Bottle (Crossgridder). Quite a few plugins will not work in Crossgridder, which will be no problem in Parallels. Some will work in neither, due to VMprotect or other reasons. The only real "benefit" to using Crossover is saving the additional resources which always get used by a VM. Obviously a Windows machine running the AG Server and an ethernet cable between it and the DAW Mac is the most painless solution of the three.

Ask ChatGPT this: Setting Up Parallels Desktop to Run Windows on macOS. It will save a lot of typing.
Obviously, you may choose to "acquire" Parallels some other way.

thanks! you have always been super helpful with this! Im trying to make it just a one stop plugin host like bluecats patchwork. Crossgridder is dope but its still a lot of steps and routing. It would be awesome if we could just load up a pc VST inside of a mac daw.

this would be awesome. agreed, this simpler method would be stellar. i could finally get all the old, shitty fun vst's from 15 years ago back up and running. audiogridder is great, but it can be such a pain. A simple plugin host, awesome. good luck on your quest, im rooting for you!

Have you tried your luck with DDMF Metaplugin? https://ddmf.eu/metaplugin-chainer-vst-au-rtas-aax-wrapper/

It's 59 bucks but the demo is free. I have not experimented with it all that extensively. I have tried a few freebie windows plugins. There is a "no install" version of TDR Nova, as an example:
    https://www.tokyodawn.net/tdr-nova/Download/

    What is it?
Metaplugin is a plugin that loads other plugins. As simple as that. Build your own effect networks with this plugin wrapper using any VST/VST3 (and AU, if you’re on Mac) effect you already have on your harddisk. To get you started, a Mid-Side matrix, a fourband crossover filter and a routing plugin are included in the package. This means instant cross-track routing, mid-side, multiband compression/distortion/reverb/… you name it. Of course that’s only the beginning… let your imagination run free, nothing is impossible, from creating your own layered synth sounds to building whole sound generators from scratch using simple modules.

Another favourite use case for Metaplugin is to load VST plugins in Pro Tools (or to load AudioUnits in Pro Tools if you’re on a Mac). Hence, you can use it as a VST to AAX wrapper or an AU to AAX wrapper. While we’re at it: you can also use Metaplugin to load VST plugins in Logic/LogicX (VST to AU wrapper), or AU plugins in Cubase (AU to VST wrapper).

Seems to work ok, but I am on Intel Logic 10.5. Haven't tested it anywhere close to recommending someone buy it...

It really likes to detect all your Mac plugins, you have to scan the plugins you want available inside it into your "plugin library". But you can specify which folders and plugin types you want it to scan for. So some legwork. (edit, you can also drag them in manually)

Also, I very much doubt it would be a way to do anything related to iLok plugins. It does show that it will scan all 3 plugin formats of bridged 32bit plugins. I'm not sure how that would work on a 64bit only enforced MacOS version after Mojave.

The demo doesn't really scan free stuff with any dependability. I think you would need to carefully curate a library of things you know will work in a specified folder, or scanning is a real undertaking with it hitting anything "missing files" and other concerns like permission, code signatures, iLok... or it will crash the DAW instantly. If everything was legit and on the up and up; they'd probably be stuck providing you with tech support. They obviously make quality software, as Plugin Doctor shows.

Hi there. Just wanted to chime in here as I successfully installed Crossgridder 1.4 and 1.5 on my M1 (under Monterey and Crossover 22). If I'm correct, 1.5 is the latest version and honestly I would be surprised if there ever came an update. I was in contact with the guy last summer where he expressed frustration with not earning enough, so I'm assuming that he abandoned the project. At that time he suggested to using Crossover 22. I have no idea if the recent versions work. I tried multiple concepts to run WinVSTs on my Mac and Crossgridder was the only one working for me. However it's correct that some VST won't work. Some work only with 1.4 and some only with 1.5, some work sometimes and some not at all. The whole concept is super unstable and buggy but as good as it gets.
