many people of artistic temperament are bipolar or in some other way not "normal".
the thing to remember is "normal" people do "normal" things and never really accomplish much, especially in the way of creative arts.

It is a burden and a gift, and one should count ones blessing. Sometimes I think the worst thing in the world would be to be "normal".

and I agree, you learn to deal with it and get on with your life. and then you do it again and again whenever necessary.

 

Currently, 'AI' is this decade's pretty pin-up gal, selling yet another cynical promise of a perfect future.

Naturally I'll take organic creative imperfection every time - efficient sterility be damned !

there is some sick shit coming on all sectors.the sickest are sentencing/justice system ,data collection and full blown cc tv and sorts it can be abused for,w4r machine,w4r robots etc etc

Oh, no argument on any of that. I saw this turning into a DAW wars thread and I am still not convinced that the OP did not create it as either a pisstake or a foster thread. I contemplated going the serious path but I figured there were enough doing this already. People have always been the problem with technology, they abuse it / exploit it, so I cannot do anything but agree with you.

Wow, I'm surprised this thread popped up again out of nowhere.

The original post wasn't a pisstake, rather it was a bit of a joke related to the insane overreacting to AI music, and its impact on the average musician.

People seem to love audio tools that use some form of AI when it is convenient for them, and hate AI tools when they could hurt their income.

I don't know why this thread turned into the DAW wars. This thread isn't completely serious, and it's not completely a joke. People determine how AI is used and whether or not it takes jobs from people.

AI as a replacement for man made music has been less than impressive in my opinion, but the advancement in stem splitting algorithms has HUGELY helped me learn piano parts from songs where I can't access piano stems, midi, or sheet music.

Oh yeah, no, AI outside of audio tools is a completely different story.

AI (in general) can and will be used for all sorts of terrible, inhuman purposes.

AI can also be used to help diagnose medical issues earlier and read diagnostic imaging better than many professionals in certain cases.

How we decide to use general AI or AGI in the future is up to the humans. It will be used for good and bad purposes like pretty much everything else.
