So I got a big Problem with NI Action Strikes... In some Instruments/Ensembles I can hear clicks and pops and I just wanted to check if I am the only one experiencing this problem!

I managed to find a little solution that is very picky and I wanted to know if I do something wrong. (look at the PDF i uploaded in this post)

To the problem:

For example if I load Action Strikes Ensemble and choose "Rise of the Machines" from the presets and then play this key:



hold it for a while and release it... After a while I get a click

Does anyone know how to solve this?

It's not only this preset so its very exhausting...

I am on Mac OSX 10.9 Mavericks
Kontakt 5 (3.1.0.4) x64
Ableton Live 9 Suite 64 bit

 

It seems it affected by the mod-wheel and/or the Expression slider on the gui........ move it up, no clicks or pops, but all the way down it's.... "Kellogg's rice krispies"

..maybe it's a problem with Kontakt always trying to unwanted and unforced purge everything after a short time of not using it. My Problem is, lets say, having a piano, starting at one minute. At most 3 minutes after not reaching this 1 minute barrier and finally reaching it, the samples have been gone out of the ram and i have these clicks and pops until all samples are back into the ram again. It is driving me nuts. Finally i always have to bounce the things not to crack up. I am on Mavericks too, using logic X and 16 Gigs of RAM. There is by far no need for purging samples.

confirmed. it happens when expression is low (or off) and the Voice/DFD memory is being purged.

 

So does this only happen in the cracked version or does anyone with a legit copy of action strikes have the same problems?

This is pretty embarrassing for Native Instruments, if this haven't been fixed yet! :S

Solution can't be to just never get the modwheel as low as a specific value... :S

Could you please specify what system and kontakt version you are running at?

Would be interesting to see if this is a kontakt problem or just a bug in the scripting/fading of files...

I found a Bugfix that worked for one patch only (Action strikes Instrument -> Hybrid flaps) there was one sample that hat a click in the waveform so fading the file before the click solved the problem. Unfortunately I couldn't find any clicks in the waveforms of the other patches that had the same problem...

Please guys! This problem has been around for a while now and still no fix...

I need some infos from you guys! On what systems are you running action strikes with which version of action strikes and do all of you get the same bug?

And do anyone own a legit copy of action strikes and can report the same bug?

Please I really want to use this but it's impossible with those clicks and pops...

But I have noticed problem with ensemble patch in latest Reaper. Moving mixer sliders on mixer page is very difficult. In Ableton works correctly.
