BUT the title says packs ...having a solid kick samples archive you like from another person which processed them well is another story workflow,mixwise designwise bla

Try the company 'mixready' samples the have a solid kick sample pack, also search the sister site for F9 Audio Argon Kick - those are SOLID and created by James wiltshire from the Group Freemasons - very good stuff with lots of kicks from MANY drum machines. The F9 Audio Snare pack is also very very good. if thats not hard enough then maybe try Sonnox Oxford inflator on the kicks you have

 

Gonna check this out right now thank you... I do like Oxford inflator though very much. For anyone reading this the correct way to use oxford inflator is to feed your sample into the plugin just over 0db as the manual says. there is a built in clipper that is on by default turn it off first to see how far you are driving your signal past 0db, usually two to three red squares over 0db is enough - it will clip the highest transient for you and then you can turn up the Effect slider to 100% as also stated in the manual - then you can your the output slider to level your newly inflated kick to whatever you like to set it at -9, -12 etc etc. very nice pluging. The oxford limiter also has a similar effect - both are excellent plugins. I like to then put an eq after it to clean up any excess low/high frequencies that may have been added.

most kick samples with inflator will knock hard as hell, maybe a little boost around 60hz if needed.

most importantly it is very nice and clean without silly artifacts.

 

please enlighten me...is this simplify slider on a particular plugin or is it a plugin in its own right?
