Hi guys, i made a hard track, not sure if i like it that much, part 2 is good, and i added vocals as requested,
Overall im not happy with the track but id like your opinions anyway!

havent slept in a while now so im off to bed i think,

I like your song so far, bravo, finally with a human voice that gives the song a bit more soul and more lyrical information.

Yeah vocals are important, not always needed but definetly takes a track in a better direction or worse depends on the track and vocal,

This vocals where the first i clicked in a pack somewhere, no joke and it fit really well!

My point of view is:

I have listened to a lot of music in my life and only a few bands and artists have survived. The new music from many young people sounds too similar, has too little depth and is sometimes even badly mixed.

I know an artist here from the forum who created a song almost every week, he had learned how songwriting works and he only does what he can. Unfortunately his conception of music was not suitable for the masses and did not hit the nerve of the listeners and so he disappeared.

I want to motivate people with talent to go beyond themselves and write songs that will still exist after their death. Songs that are new, fresh, full of ideas and stand out from the crowd. I really want people to surprise and fill the world of music with quality. Many lyrics are meaningless - the 100,000th song about love. The same kick drum... Bum Bum Bum, rap musicians who can't sing.

I used to work in a music association to promote bands and musicians in a small town, we also organized concerts and tried to find practice rooms. So also negotiations with the city and press work.

P.S.: Tell me what kind of pictures do you need for your SoundCloud, the planet pictures I sent you were probably of no use to you.

It would be nice if you got something to answer. No, I don't need them or I need them!

its so hard to guess what listeners will like. our society are so diverse and, I know we have some formulas in music, but sometines its something so silly that makes a track popular, like a funny way how a word was spoken, a 5 note piano, an exotic tone, a wisthle...

Really like the track, but there are some things that maybe could have been improved.

The fade out on the lead synth/arpeggio during the bridge (@ about 3:15) sounds a bit unimaginative. That whole break/bridge part sounds a bit jarring tbh, like it interrupts the flow of the track. There's nothing in the background that lets you keep track of the beat, and the bass has an unexpected syncopated note which makes you lose sense of the beat. Having something like a pad with a rhythmic/trance gate or a filtered hat loop quietly in the background could maybe help. That syncopated bass note wouldn't feel so jarring either if you had something to keep the beat to. Moving the syncopated note so that it's on the beat could be another option, but I feel like there's something missing in that part either way.

I'm also not sure if most of the pauses in-between the different parts are supposed to be breaks or short fills. They feel a bit long to be simple fills and too short to be breaks (except the break/bridge part). I'm not an expert at techno song structure though, so take it with a grain of salt. I just get the feeling that the song stops and starts a bit often. I can't say that I could have made it any better though, rather the opposite.

I have nothing to critique about the mix. It sounds great!

 

Thanks for your input, well, i can say this, i was 6hrs in at 6am and project crashed so i lost 6 hrs of work and then i re did it in 2 hrs and uploaded it, so there should have been more breaks in the beginning like the last arp should have played twice, and i dont understand the sub note you mean? its supposed to be syncopated like that. One could definetly make 2 basslines in such a long track. Point is i did a hard track but as u notice it can be improved.

yes i rly should, i will! next track i will do a thing where you put it away for a week then go back to it, then you can hear all wrongs, im always to eager to upload stuff

 

Everyone has to do that these days, you really have to force yourself to meet the high quality standards in these fast-moving times. You overlook a lot of things these days, I think it's because of the speed. The motto is: quality over quantity. Or good things take time.

A photographer once said that he hangs his good pictures on the wall and if he still likes the picture after a longer period of time, he publishes it.
