(If you're curious... I never considered this finished, I did the whole thing too slow, had to artificially speed it up and never really mixed it)

I'm old enough and lucky enough to have seen the Tull band in the 1970's 3 or 4 times. When Ian Anderson was on his game he could put on quite a show. I saw passion play, and thick as a brick shows among others, all cracked the crowd up when they would do Aqualung and the bass player wearing a black and white striped outfit, would trot out a black and white striped stand up bass and play the bass line, I seem to remember him have it strapped around his neck for a bit having a good time showing off.

Loved the albums, if you had a good stereo (and some good weed) it really made that room sing...kind of fellow out of rock n roll towards the late 70's, though i've always love Bill Nelson and Bebop Deluxe, and I followed along as he got into electronic music, and then Thomas Dolby etc. Lots of great music in those decades.

Still think Wondring Aloud is one of the greatest short songs of all time..

Thanks! I'm not really that good of a guitar player or a bass player, I punch in a lot, the studio is certainly my friend :woot: but I appreciate your kind words!
One of the reasons I did that was because there was no organ on the studio cut but they always had John Evans playing organ on it live and I kind of wanted to mash the two together. That's B-3X btw.

And to bring the whole thing back on topic I've never made a dime off that track.

It is so hard to imagine that was 45 yrs ago. It seems like it was a week ago dammit. Time passes by like grains of sand doesn't it heh...

Of course, we must forget that many companies and employees profit from wealth and make a living. Ferrari car manufacturers and employees, party planners, chefs and waitresses for luxury buffets, even the coke dealer and his employees, as well as lawyers, radio and television stations.

I think people who stand a lot on their feet make more money.

If we divide the tasks into three categories:
    1. Tasks that need more feet and moves on the feet.
    2. Tasks that need more hands.
    3. Tasks that need to think more.
Of these three categories, people in the first category make more money. Previously, musicians stood more on their feet and for this reason they made more money, but now this organ is almost without use in them.:dunno:

Everyone who creates a product or offers a service can offer it worldwide. If people decide that they can need the product or want to use the service, make a purchase decision. If your service or the product is not sufficiently in demand, you will disappear from the market.

They forget in their considerations that the super -rich simply buy up companies or shape the shareholders.

Large companies with a lot of capital can also survive a dry spell. The banks also expect the loans to pay back their loan, otherwise the bank will reclaim their complete loan. Your house as security will then be auctioned off and you are permanently ruined.

The investors earn most of the money once they have a million and lend the money for a 5 % interest rate and cleverly invest their money, they will soon be multimillionaire. Remember our "Irschaft is a loan -funded economy because money only creates through lending.

The problem we discuss in this thread is to get money through music.
Unfortunately, musicians are not interested in economic issues, so they cannot make good money through music. Getting interested in economic issues, along with other music activities, should be taught to artists.
If you look at the comments, most people look at the economy with a bad view. Everyone needs money, but when it comes to making money, they show negative thoughts and feelings.

Most people are not intelligent enough to understand all of this and those who are and can do something just play along at the top.

If they are the ones at the bottom, do not educate themselves and act more intelligently and join forces, nothing will change at the top. Stupidity is man's greatest enemy.

Paul My Cartney (ex-Beatles) has used his wealth to set up a support program for young talent.

I don't know much about this program, but as you said it is for young talents to discover and perhaps their better education, not to teach them how to make money. Unfortunately, anything that is about making money is hidden and no one teaches anyone the way to make an informal money.
Those people whom you introduce as intelligent are not smart, but they got lucky to be in a good economic situation supported by other wealthy districts and individuals.
It doesn't matter how smart you think you are, you can't make good money if you don't be placed in conditioned situations as you said.
    Those forces are not everywhere.

Open the newspaper and browse the job offers, if you are better than the other applicants and meet the job profile you will be invited to an interview.

It's quite simple, if you have talent and perhaps have studied an instrument such as the violin, you need to look for a job in an orchestra. If there is no job as a violinist in your country, you will probably have to apply abroad.

In the meantime you can give tutoring or work in a cafe to cover your living costs. It sounds pretty helpless to expect someone to show up and teach you the secrets of making money. It is all so disguised so that the masses of people do not find out how they are being cheated and ripped off.

    Warren Buffet once said:

"We, the rich class, are waging a war against the poor and we won this war long ago."

"If people understood how the monetary system works, we would have a revolution before tomorrow morning."

If you want to know more about how money works, you can educate yourself by reading books. Don't wait for Jesus or for someone to take you by the hand and explain everything to you. No one will do that. You have to take control of your own life and educate yourself and learn. Otherwise, stay at your level.
