Those Digital Noise Factory kontakt instruments are samples of a ROMpler loaded into Kontakt. There are about 5 or 6 of them. Just the Emulator X3 libraries, there are about 20 of them. There are probably over 50 more in e-mu format. None of them (or any other samples) could be loaded into a Mo' Phatt rack unit, for example. You could get those into Kontakt, too; painfully. But you could record samples into the X3.

dont get me wrong but i have been analyzing older songs from the 90s and i must say alot of producers used loops and samplers.. they were lazy.. i did not even realized that. i thought they made everything from scratch

for example in the song linkin park runaway they used korg triton patch deep water from the synth. its the same i checked it out
also lady gagas producer redone many years ago put a loop from vengeance libraries... does this makes sence? lazy work

Not necessarily lazy, not all people are into sound design and patch tweakery. It's like guitar players buy certain pedals because they have "that" sound and then create their own tunes using those sounds. If it's a good sound it's a good sound, is it not? I mean, sure, us audio nerds care about that farty 3 second sound mixed at -48dBfs was created in 1,5 days using a modular synth, but people listen to the music, not the technology.

I remember reading an interview with Mark Snow, who composed the music for X-files, and he used sounds from one of the big name sampling libraries (could've been Synclavier, the E-mu libraries, can't remember) as is, and said something to the effect of: "I think that people created these fantastic sounds to be used, and it would be wrong of me not to use them".

Real2Real (I like to move it, move it) was made with the stock sample cd from emu with their samplers (one of the later but not latest ones, I think ESI4000), still great stuff even when recorder poorly too (lots of sporadic distortion which was obviously unintentional)

Using HW samplers like E-Mu and Akai was never "lazy" They were very expensive technology items, like $3000-$5000 for various machines. Prior to these rack samplers, the only way to make loops fit was using pitch up/down to match bpm. Time stretching was basically a brand new thing. It was how people were able to get the best quality sounding instruments for use in their production. Like Kontakt is now.

Sample CD's of good packs were not anywhere near as shared as they are now. If you paid $100 for a sample CD, you would use the files you paid to license. Using thousands sample # Kontakt instruments with a nice GUI built on top with scripts already written for you, is just as "lazy".

It's good , I use it with crossgidder and used it in parallels because im on Mac. but problem I had was it always opened windows that went behind the gui and not in front, so always had to remember to check. If anyone knows a way in windows to make sure they show up in front of the gui please let me know. I learned how to use it but will have to relearn as I forgot. For me it was only really about the filters.

alt-tab in windows, flips through the open screens so you can bring any open screen to the front. its very handy keyboard shortcut. also process explorer (free utility) can bring screen forward, by selecting the process, then properties tab, and bring to front is a button you can select, you can also kill the process from this same tab.

Nobody pays that much money for an E6400. Look up eBay and filter your search with"sold items" so you can see how much people really pay.

Oh ok, yea it still actually still works on Windows 10. You have to follow some steps to get it to work but it does work.
