Hi great audio community,

I have been experiencing a strange issue for a week, and unfortunately I was not able to solve the solution even though I did my best.

Whenever I launch Edge, it doesn't open up smoothly, it is something like Edge moves off the screen and comes back.

The similar thing also happens with Chromes and when opening a file folder. You will notice the flash when the file folder is opening up.


I already made a clean installation twice, but no lucks. It already happens when the OS is newly installed.
All of my drivers are uo-to-date including graphic cards, chipsets and so on.

The notebook is pretty new.

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900HX 2.20 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.6 GB usable)
Edition Windows 11 Home Single Language
Version 24H2
Installed on ‎1/‎27/‎2025
OS build 26100.2894

I upgraded Win Home to Pro, but no luck same sh^'+.

Try using this program and then restart your PC and then try opening your browser.
Lots of people have problems right after reinstalling.

Hello @Free Agent, could you install Firefox and see if the error repeats with Firefox?

Disable Start-up Boost and Continue running Background Processes in Edge/ Settings/ System and Performance.

Disable Edge in Start-up Task manager.

Run sfc /scannow and DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth in Command Prompt as Administrator.

Restart the PC.

Backup all Edge data either signing with a Microsoft Account in edge or Going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\xxx.x.xxxx.xxx (xxx.x.xxxx.xxx means version no. for eg. 120.0.2210.144) and copying all the user data files and paste it another drive.



Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\xxx.x.xxxx.xxx (xxx.x.xxxx.xxx means version no. for eg. 120.0.2210.144) and delete all files by pressing Ctrl + A and Shift + Del.

Reinstall Edge again.

GO to Control Panel/ Programs/ Programs and Features and select Microsoft Edge and click Change. Then click Repair in the dialog box wait for the process to Complete.

Reinstall Edge again from Microsoft Store or from the .exe file from Microsoft website..

Download Microsoft Edge

Nothing else work Try resetting the PC.

Actually, both videos are displaying your name in the windows explorer in C:\users\h-e-r-e-i-s-y-o-u-r-n-a-m-e\

 

Most likely an animation issue related to graphics rendering. Maybe temporary (driver/Windows bug) or perpetual (hardware limited).

Try disabling all Windows animations temporarily to see if the problem persists. Worst case scenario you can disable only that specific animation if disabling all animations fixed the issue.

 

I have that happen on the PC I use at work.

Since it's not my computer I haven't bothered to look into a real fix but the work around I use is...

Hold the windows key on the keyboard and press a arrow key.

It's the move window short cut.
Press windows key and left snaps the window to the left half of the screen
Press windows key and right to snap right.
Press windows key and up 3 times and the window should go full screen.
