    Hello!

    Hope you're doing great

If you had to choose just one softsynth for all your productions, what synth would it be??

    I'm gonna start :dj:

I would choose Vital. I'm so used to it, is so easy to get the sound I want with it. The visuals are simple and great, and I just feel comfortable using Vital.

Although, I have to admit Zebra HZ has been more and more in my songs, I like how the routing gives you more possibilities, as well as those analog sounding filters!! But I find it harder to navigate through the interface compared to Vital.

I really love Pneuma Pro by Ronan Fed, lot of classic sounds and it's free.

PLEASE READ. YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO TAKE ONE WITH YOU ON THE TRIP. UNFORTUNATELY HEAT UP 3 HAS TO STAY HERE.

Omni or... possibly... Diva. Actually, I'd also consider a good CS-80 vst.

I haven't used Omnisphere yet, but I thought it was just a rompler

My brain says Vital, but my heart says Korg Odyssey. Guess i'll go with the first one.

It's full fledged synth with bunch of nifty sound sources and synthesis, subtractive, granular, wavetable, FM and etc. I was on verge to pull Diva, but it's all projects and Omni is pretty much the thing for my instrumental/ambient stuff, so yeah.

    Definitely Falcon.

It'll take me a while longer to start from scratch, but no problem there. I can get anything done.

I can't even pretend that I'd ever just use one variety of synth sound so I find this question impossible to answer

I could do a top 20 if that's what you wanted

I would pick something general purpose that covers the most ground that I could get the most instances of without freezing/bouncing. I would also consider the size footprint it has on the disk/storage space to have the most available patches; which would rule out romplers like N5, Falcon, and Omnisphere.

    So, Serum. final answer.

I don't have a great amount of processing power to work with in my PC as it stands, so I have to take into account what synths will be easy on my CPU, but still sound convincingly analogueish.
The synth I really like the sound of (that is light on processing) most for analogue sounding soft stuff is Synapse Audio Dune. But yeah it's possibly not versatile enough for everything.

Serum if one, Diva and Spire if two (if Bitwig then the clap version of Diva and Hive)

My ultimate synth vst would have Vital's gui and workflow, but would also be able to sound like Legend or Softube Modular if needed.
