With Analog Lab Pro V in Bitwig, browsing through presets is terribly buggy. They sometimes load, but half the time I'll go to a preset, and it'll be silent or only half load in a bugged out state. Sometimes I can fix this by going to the next or previous preset then back and it will load. Often I'll be on a preset, go to another preset, then at a later time go to the older preset I was on because I favorited it, only to learn the last time I was on that older preset it wasn't actually loaded in all the way because now I'll hear a reverb or some state of the synth in the patch that apparently never loaded properly the last time I had that patch up.

I've deleted the db3 file and really that doesn't seem to have anything to do with this buggy preset loading. The browsing of presets is fine as everything shows up to browse to and select in the menus, it's just they do not LOAD reliably at all, and when they do load, I don't trust it's actually recalled the preset in it's entirety.

Currently test driving Analog Lab Pro and if this is how it is, no friggin way am I buying it.

Am I missing something regarding getting preset loading in Analog Lab Pro V to be reliable? It's actually been a long time since I've encountered a VST that was actually this buggy, and I'm shocked it's a supposed "major" product like this that is this buggy.

 

Which operating system? Which DAW do you use?
What is the exact name and version of your Analog Lab?
Which graphics card are you using?

Most of it is user error or hardware insufficient, AnalogLab is not buggy and works well on many computers worldwide.

My hardware far exceeds the requirements.

I didn't find any answers in search engines but when I added "Bitiwg" to the search I finally started seeing my specific problem in the search results. This looks like I'm not alone and it's a Bitwig specific issue that Arturia has been aware of for quite some time and has yet to resolve it. If something is a "DAW specific" problem, it's almost always a problem with the DAW. But Analog Lab, even fully working right; is still not something I would personally buy. I've tried pretty much every major version release of it, and never kept it. I prefer using any V Collection synths on their own, without Analog Lab installed. I like their effects plugins more than their synth emulations.

Yeah it's not a volume thing. This is my first time trying out Analog Lab and Arturia stuff all together so I'm just getting used to the pages and views. It's wildly bugged out. When you go to the preset page view where everything is listed top to down, and click on a preset, then click again, then click again again (reloading the same preset many times), I can see the parameter knobs in the Bitwig device view just randomly going to different settings on each load.. one of these loads probably being the correct recall, the others are anywhere from silent to whack because the settings aren't right.

It's absolutely broken in Bitwig. I can get presets to load but it's absolutely untrustworthy if it's recalled properly or not, and some of the attempts to even get sound from a preset can take 6-7 varying load attempts (reloadling the same preset by clicking on it multiple times, or going back and forth from different random presets to glitch it into finally loading.)

I'd be really bummed out if I didn't get a chance to test drive this stuff first. I'm demoing the product to see if it would be a perk that would veer me in the direction of buying an Arturia MIDI controller, but as it stands, it's a moot point as a Bitwig user I guess.

 

You can also install the product in standalone and test it and see if the bug is reproducible. I would buy a different product as a Bitwig user or wait for updates. I've never had any problems with Analog Lab in PreSonus - Studio One. If possible, inform Arturia about this problem, I think they are working on it because they want to sell their products.
