I recently came across this hosting provider: https://fuckingfast.co

It's being used by other teams, especially in the gaming scene. Besides the crazy fast download speeds, the privacy aspect looks compelling. Do you think this could be used on the sister site?

Anyways, I'm curious about this, what do yall think?

No premium, the only con is that the hosting provider is the one choosing who gets to use its service, quoting from the website:

"We're currently accepting only fucking good releasers. If you represent a fucking good release group, please contact us to sign up."

 

Well... good enough to me.

The people behind it seem ready to put up a fight, so why not?

 

We should let the uploader decide, which hosting he wants. Some sites pay for downloads and I don't see any problem if the releaser earns a few bucks.

 

Thank you @Djord Emer for another alternative. What we are looking for are alternatives that store our data securely and permanently. I learned that traffic costs money, i.e. server costs. It is not entirely clear to me how FUCKINGFAST finances itself and who is behind it.

 

I think it's worth checking out. I'm not sure if it's a long-term solution... but it's fast af.

 

Since this hosting website is used by a lot of release teams, there's a lot of info that isn't on the website. You'd have to send an email. I'm as curious as anyone here.

 

Apparently there is still a "legal" parent of this hosting provider based in India: BUZZHEAVIER.COM.
Just take a look at the blog and you won't be surprised to see that there is now also this lovely offshoot "Fuckingfast.co". Interesting. Exciting.

 

In the worst case scenario, we will have to exchange our files on peer-to-peer networks again.

 

I don't see India anywhere.

That's what they tell everyone, at least.

 

Probably won't see this used on the sister site if uploaders can't make money from their links. (There might be the odd exception here and there.)

 

Kat and RG are good file hosts, but as we all know, for proper speeds, they cost money. They also allow the uploaders to make money.

“fuckingfast.co” would be a preferred alternative due to download speeds, file sizes, and the lack of price tag. However, if uploaders can't make money from their download links, then they won't care to utilise the service.

We're all at the mercy of the uploaders. They will dictate which servers we download from. They will put themselves first before the masses. I'm not having a “dig” at the uploaders. This is just a matter of fact. It's how the cookie crumbles.
