If people get upset about something like that, they must be doing very well. Others would like to have these problems :suicide:

In 2011, Rolling Stone ranked Gallagher 57th among the 100 greatest guitarists of all time. Gallagher died on June 14, 1995 from the effects of a liver transplant, which had become necessary due to his pill consumption and alcoholism.

Crazy story...I walked into a small bar in the East Village sometime in the mid 80's and there was Rory Gallegher sitting on a wooden chair with a amp next to him with a beer on top as he was absolutely wailing away on a beat to shit looking Strat. People weren't paying him any mind which I thought was totally bizarre. There was an empty chair at a table in the corner, asked the people sitting there if they needed it, snatched to away and parked it two feet in front of him and was blown away for the next half hour or so. He finished, I thanked him for the clinic he put on, shook his hand and he packed up his kit and left...WTF?

The statue they put up of him just ain't no good, no good at all, boobs and all, LOL.

Agreed in the Telecaster part. It seems to be an iconic image of him in early days. Another proof the main hobby of the first world is to get offended.

The part about being ugly and having titz I have to agree though. All due respect to the artist and shit but looks awful:rofl:

The children will probably ask their parents who was she?
The stature is probably influenced by gender wokeness. Probably female influenced.

Germany's only Elvis bronze statue inaugurated in Bad Nauheim

Was the artist on drugs? Or was it a requirement of the financiers?

The a statue of Rory unveiled in 2010 in Ballyshannon is absolutely better. Can't understand why to put such a garbage in Belfast

    Sad but fact
Six years ago I would've told you "nah, that's going too far even for these times".
Today, there's a very decent chance.

No, it's just bad craftsmanship. The face cannot be recognized in either case without knowing who it should depict. With Elvis' statue I first thought: Why the heck someone should show off a Stationmaster :dunno:
And in Gallagher's figure's "breast" was probably meant to be a pectoral muscle if the artist had had any skill. Now it looks like silicon boobs

Ok, I waited but now I'm gonna say it because nobody else did... Rory played slide with his ring finger and not on his pinky like in that destined to be recycled pseudo-statue of whoever that woman is playing a Telecaster on the Belfast version!

    Paranoia is in bloom...

    ...Interchanging mind control

The Muse lyrics of "Uprising" from 2009 often comes to mind these days.

    [Instrumental Intro]
    Paranoia is in bloom
    The PR transmissions will resume
They'll try to push drugs that keep us all dumbed down
And hope that we will never see the truth around
    (So come on)

    Another promise, another seed
Another packaged lie to keep us trapped in greed
And all the green belts wrapped around our minds
And endless red tape to keep the truth confined
    (So come on)

    They will not force us
    They will stop degrading us
    They will not control us
    And we will be victorious
    (So come on)

    Interchanging mind control
Come let the revolution take its toll
If you could flick a switch and open your third eye
You'd see that we should never be afraid to die
    (So come on)
    Hey, hey, hey, hey

Great dystopian lyrics, Muse strong suit all right. They look straight out from "Brave New World" or 1984. Or "Fahrenheit 451", majorly underrated.

Although written by 1946, 1984 was THE book of the 70s youth
And today I feel as if we are making great strides towards this "goal" socially. Mind control (A-social media, social credit system), Newspeak are already in the making...

Sometimes I'm glad that I'm already old. I don't know if I would want to live in the world of my grandchildren. But I will try to inoculate them with a little anarchism

For me it was too, among the "dystopian but getting closer" classics.
Personally I'm like: "We could be worse". I know, shitty consolation, but what I mean is, say, we could live in China, where this is a thing already in motion. [Edited: still very shitty, what's wrong with me?]

Also, a bit like you said, since I'm an old fuck... I do think sometimes about these problems for the next generations. But before it gets to me I'm like "Oops, I won't be there. Not my fault! Good luck!"

But jokes and half-jokes aside, It's a fact they have it harder than us.
It's normal to think it, because these problems are new. And it's not only "the devil you know" effect. The ecology thing looks really bad.

By the way, inoculate WHO!!??? Oh wait, bad interpretation. Sorry sorry, my dirty mind :rofl:
