I love kontakt but I really hate that there is no way to organize libraries easily. I know you could click file and organize them by that but Its nice to have a visual wallpaper so you can find things easier. Is there a library manager for kontakt 7? I'm used to having different types of instruments by category in rack view. Looking for a way to organize these more easily I stupidly clicked the AZ button and it threw everything into alphabetical order... The new browser is great in theory. If you click "brass" not every "horn" shows up in the browser. Any Advice? I really don't want to spend an entire day breaking my wrist trying to re organize everything.

You're gonna get many many many different answers to this subject because its very personal.... I organize my libraries on my hardrives like so on post #29 https://audiosex.pro/threads/safest-way-to-move-kontakt-libraries.27363/page-2#post-791357.... As for organizing them in Kontakt itself. I simply use Kontakt Library Tools that Bobdule supplies in his releases. You can spend a lifetime organizing Kontakt libraries, instruments/snapshots.. Same for sample libraries. But unless you're working in a large team. I find over organizing things can lead to analysis paralysis. Hope you find what works for you. Cheers.

PS/ It might not be what you wanna hear. But I recommend you take few days. Find an organizational format that you like & just DO IT RIGHT ONCE.. Follow that format & whenever you add another library you wont have to break your wrist.

I downloaded 8 portable and all my libraries are showing up and it has a library manager so i guess ill stick with it for now. Edit - guess i spoke too soon the library manager isnt saving the order i put the libraries in so i just wasted 2 hours on nothing per usual lol - Im about to just re organize all of it and just use the file menu without the wallpapers but pretty sure once i start moving them out of their folders it wont be able to find the libraries when i open my old projects. Think that happened before and even when i pointed kontakt to the folder and library it still couldnt find it, it was a nightmare

Delete some Kontakt library's... nobody need 300 or more...I'm a heavy collector and must try it to myself but I think just keep the things that you really need is a big improvement

The Library Tool from the Bob Dule Kontakt 6 release that has the "Kontakt Button" works for the Kontakt 7 library as well. Not sure if he released on with 7. It has the NICNT maker and you can just make wallpaper pngs in Photoshop.

Click the A-Z button above your library view so it stops organizing them alphabetically and then they'll be arranged the way you have them in the Library Manager.

Kontakt is an unintuitive and bulky tool been coded mostly in Java afaik. If I were you I would forget the organizational ways in it and would use my Windows explorer. Just look for *.nki or similar files and drag them into kontakt.
