For this one: Steinberg Hypersonic VSTi DXi 2.0 INTERNAL-AiR

On another site, there are a lot of user comments on it (people with problems). One person suggested renaming the .dll file. I'll add any other notes that are possibly worth mentioning.

Problems with not installing cleanly, Having V1 or an h2o release installed first, needed cleanup. (use Revo).

Installing as Admin.

"The solution was to run the "Set HS2 Content Location.exe" file, located at the content folder, for to set that folder as the recognized content folder. After that, no more problems."

"Working fine on W7 X64 + Nuendo 4.3.0 (Air). Also, working fine on Cubase 5.1.0 (Air) And ableton 8.1 (Air)
Installed as admin, open stand alone, define content, close, open nuendo, load hypersonic2, done."

Did you use JBridge?

ok I got it finally working believe it or not and I'll tell you how. It is really wierd though sometimes it opens and asks for the content folder, then sometimes it opens and I can use it.

I used Jbridge on both 64 and 32. The 32 works LOL, Idk how but it does. I can't get it to give me .64 file though for some reason. Also you have to select that the GUI is stand alone in Jbridge options, compatablity windows XP service 2 pack

 

Someone explain this lol both the 32 and 64 bit work but both have to be bridged? The stand alone still crashed immediately too. Also everytime I run it I have to use the content patch to tell it where the samples are or if not I open it and it shakes and freezes WTF LOL. It still won't work in Reaper either.

You should only install the 32-bit version with jBridget. FL Studio also scans for the 64-bit version, so you have 2x 64-bit and that will probably confuse Fl Studio. Just delete the jBridged 64-bit version as a test or copy it somewhere else and scan again, FL Studio is actually supposed to recognize the 64-bit version!

You have to install it first and then copy the "Hypersonic 2 Content" to C:/ - looks like this C:\Hypersonic 2 Content and then double click on the inside file: "Set HS2 Content Location".

Problem with Hypersonic 2 (Windows 10)

I upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 10. And now I have a problem with Hypersonic 2. When I open Hypersonic 2 as standalone, it works. First, Hypersonic 2 asks for the "Content folder". When I find the "Content folder", everything works fine. But when I try to open Hypersonic 2 in FL Studio 11, it doesn't work. Hypersonic 2 asks for the Content folder, but it is impossible to use this menu because it blinks very fast and when I click on a folder in this menu, nothing happens. After that, FL Studio closes Hypersonic 2.

Add this key to your registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Steinberg\Hypersonic 2
- Name: (Default) | Type: REG_SZ | Data: (Value not set)
- Name: Content Location | Type: REG_SZ | Data: C:\...Hypersonic 2 Content/

I traced the program with procmon and saw that it was writing to some old registry keys at HKCU\Software\Classes\VirtualStore\MACHINE... (as above).

damn so they got the shakes too, if i can get it to save the location of the content folder it will work but I have to use the content patch to let it know where the samples are everytime before I open it or it will shake and freeze

 

mines already set like that but it still won't recognbize the content folder. Every time I close and reopen it I have to click this again Set HS2 Content Location or it will shake and freeze. It's like it's not retaining the information.

 

The best thing to do is to reinstall it and then strictly follow the instructions from Team Air:

1. Uninstall Steinberg - Hypersonic 2 completely
2. Also delete the registry key (Run --> Regedit)
The key is here:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Steinberg\Hypersonic 2
Delete the "Hypersonic 2" folder and then restart your PC.
3. Restart the PC

Steinberg - Hypersonic 2 VSTi - 1,57 GB - AiR
1) Install Setup.exe
2) Copy "Hypersonic 2 Content" dir to a folder of your choice
3) Run the plugin and locate content path manually! Double Klick on the "Set HS2 Content Location"
4) Enjoy this fine Team AiR release !!

I use Ableton Live 12, and here's something that confuses me about FL Studio users. If FL Studio scans both x86 and x64 dll, why are you guys even messing with JBridge at all?

 

After a certain amount of time I get this like crunchy/distorted noise on the presets? anyone else have this issue?

 

check if you have set your sample rate to 192khz, my firewire audio interface (I bet 90% it's the outdated driver) is so not stable and it jump from 48khz to 192khz, I tried to open HS2 but it kept crashing FL, going back to 48khz fixes that problem

 

Same here, I have successfully installed it, no issue in opening standalone or vsti in fl studio but the problem is after a few seconds the sounds gets distorted, sometimes when I click on different settings it goes back to normal or close it and load it again it works again but after a few seconds or a minute max same issue, I have a creative soundcard and creative asio which works better than asio4all but I tried with asio4all too it doesn't make any difference, any solution for this?I have the x64 dll.
