Hey I want to upgrade from i5-12400 to i7-14700K after the Bios upgrade of my B660, so now I can install just the chip on my MB and it will run flawlessly and adjust in ProcessLassso or ParkControl....

I hope there's no more Intel drivers to install?

Go to your motherboard manufacturer's website, there is a list of supported CPUs. Or tell us your full motherboard name.

Seems valid, but yes, i'd confirm the actual mb spec and ensure any firmware updates are done prior to switching the cpu.

    B660 - Supports Intel® Core™ 14th/ 13th/ 12th Gen Processors, Intel® Pentium® Gold and Celeron® Processors for LGA 1700 socket'

Hey guyzz I destro my PC by replacing the CPU and I had already to this thing multiple times but don't know what shit I make this time so I decide to go crazy and build a new case in one week aroud a AMD 9950X and it perform a little bit better then a M2 Ultra!
I wonder which videocard should I buy as I have a poor AMD RX 5700 XT.

Is AMD a good videocard for audio always as it is less expensive and what videocard is on the place todays? I need to use After Effects and small video edits.

To confirm, did you say you destroyed your 14700k when attempting to upgrade and then built a new one around AMD ? If so how did that happen?

Are you serious? An 8 year old entry level card with 4GB RAM for about 300 Euros??? You can get an RTX 4060 with 8GB for that money, or an AMD RX 7600 with 8GB.

For anything audio the OPs RX 5700 XT should be absolutely fine. I don't know about after effects, but for video editing it depends on the software used and what GPUs are best supported by it.

I've have never had any fun with AMD video cards. It was related to card drivers ./. Windows but after that I would never again buy a AMD video. I stick to low end fanless NVidia for my Audio PC.
The last experience is like 4 years ago. Things might have changed.

    I wouldn't toss out the 5700XT.
The card is so awesome I bought some as spare. It was one of the few that was able to do 5 displays.
If you're into gaming that's a different story, but for producing, awesome gpu.

    Opposite experience on my side.
Nvidias driver overhang made serious latency issues. So I switched to amd and didn't have any isses since then.
Sure, we need to see about AI.
right now Nvidia does have a monopoly on that. So I would not recommend amd for creating the fancier hentai stuff.

amd video cards do have lower latency which might possibly help with audio. I'd keep your current card unless you're secretly trying to game with it as well

As Plendix said. The 5700XT is no poor card mate, by all means it is still relevant as it is just a couple of gens behind. Win 11 drivers are solid and stable so if you don't need AI or high end AAA titles gaming, there is no need to upgrade. Unless you misspelled and the RX5700 is actually an RX570 hehehe.
    Cheers

It seems to depend on the system. With my last AMD graphics card I had bluescreens. Printer didn't work at all.
I didn't even get to think about latency

Honestly I still don't know what really happen but I reship the 14700k to the second hand store and they refund me. I get lucky on the other side

GPU aren't much useful for audio stuff. GPUs are good for parallel processing. Audio application needs powerful CPU, especially with a powerful single core performance.

we're not talking about processing, we're talking about the latency the drivers add to everything the computer does

I would never get a 13th or 14th Intel, no matter what.

Less (unnecessary) hardwares means better latencies then.

    €300 for a 1050Ti? That's TERRIBLE advice.
