Hi, I'm wondering if it was possible to implement automatic banning of certain words in messages on audioz? Why disturb the moderators, fill the threads with useless messages or make other members angry? Last edited by a moderator: Dec 31, 2024
It is better if people, like our moderators, decide on this, not leave it to a machine. We also have a set of rules. General Rules AudioZ highly prohibits: Political discussions, any sorts of discrimination, Insulting other members, SCENE or Release Teams, Trolling, Fake/virused releases, Advertising related web-sites, Rating abuse - downvoting a post or comment for personal reasons or beliefs, that don't relate to the actual subject of your rating. - This is what you will get banned for. If you believe you've been unfairly treated by moderator, please report cases of abuse to SAiNT.
No. It doesn't bother me. The Mac guy in the screenshot is just a random example. I was just suggesting it.
I guess most of the people are unaware of the rules and just proceed with their obvious thoughts. I would prefer having a banner reminding the 'requests not allowed' rule right on the top of the comments section. Or even better, a tiny text line right below the textbox, when we are writing a comment.
It's funny. You'd expect new people to be the ones asking for stuff, but then you see a dude who's been around for two years begging in the comments.
One grand request to rule them all, one report button to find them, one ban to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.
I think you meant "Auto Filter". To block certain words or phrases, as opposed to "Auto Ban" which would ban people. I would just follow-up their request with: "OS/2 Warp please".
Yes, that's what i meant! I remember years ago, some youtubers automatically blocked certain words in the comments!
He wants to install an AI software, if you say the word shit you can't write any further or you get blocked. This kind of software is often used by dictators. The next step is electric shocks for insults. The last step is imprisonment in chains on bread and water.
Oh no.. Better a less drastic solution.. A more peaceful dictatorship.. Like the one in Demolition Man? Last edited: Dec 30, 2024
The way it is handled right know is fine IMHO. Most of the time someone answers with something like 'people don't like that, please read the rules' in hope they remove the post themselves without having to bother the mods. That's for newer members. If people still do it in their 5th year it's fine when mods go harder on them.
No bread. Just water and a Mac connected to audioz, so he can suffer watching us download new toys for Windows by R2R!
Hello @dylan63819, I'm assuming that you mean well and I think in 10 or 20 years there might be an AI software that you can install in forums and that will filter out the relevant information. But the decision is all made by the admin SAINT. I can't tell you what the future will bring. Bill Gates would like to introduce digital identification for under 16s so that they can't use social media.I hope that all the things from the old science fiction films don't become reality. I think we should limit the access of machines very much, if there is a programming error they will probably be excluded themselves. In 30 years the first thing I'll ask you is whether you are a human who is talking to me. Then you'll have to prove that you are a human and not a machine.
wow now even text autofilters are AI from kim jong....oh lord hearing the panther in the radio -- i vote for such a filter but i know bout the ....... discrepancys and coliding interests eh eh
@Radio Despite my irreverent sarcasm, i get your point.. You'll probably be asking people if they're human or machine well before 30 years..
Anyway mine was just a stupid idea.. Block the phrase "Mac please" and people will start typing things like "M4c please"
