There is almost a double entendre to that because of the very stalking you have mentioned.
While I agree that some people use it to hide, others have been attacked when they use their real name too.
Anonymity is a great thing when it is a huge donation to something like a Children's Cancer Society because the person is a true philanthropist who does it out of the goodness of their heart and needs no acknowledgement. It's a hard call. Will more be attacked to the point of finding out where they live and their families? - or will more be exposed? I do not know the answer.

You posted this elsewhere but in context with my above reply it points to the fact that anonymity is truly only a handle like ours - Taskforce or Somnambulist. The moment anyone uses Google or YouTube with a login, they have an illusion of anonymity that is a handle name and not a lot more.
I'd laugh if it was not sad that people instead of fighting for their 15 minutes of fame are now fighting for their 15 minutes of privacy. So you hunt for the non-tracking ones. We shouldn't have to, but there is not a lot of options.

So, i am sorry but your particular sort of "woke" ideology about this will not fly, at least not with me not here. Since there is nothing in the OP to be taken seriously, mockery is all that's left and admittedly this is my main reason for being in this thread: To amuse myself and perhaps others by trolling the troll. But if along the way, a real matter or argument arises by another poster concerning something serious within this thread, it will be answered properly and not mocked.

I still believe that most people in the music field can't make as much money from music as the price of a loaf of bread.
