Ah dude The Division was awesome, I never really played part 2 much. The Darkzone used to piss me off becaause people would camp an exfil to steal your shit.
300 baud or probably 180 or something. I used to administer unix systems and all the nodes were ttys, naming from the old teletype days, TTY1, tty2, etc, remember there was a tty1a, naming too, I think one was a serial printer and the other was a terminal. but that was when I found out about the internet, though I think they just called it usenet at the time, they said it would go away in a few years as nobody was paying for it.. Never got to play a game on it though, that would have been amazing at the time. timesharing on computers was a thing in the 1970's and even 1980's as they were so expensive... hard to beleive nowadays i've got a basement full of the things of various vintages. people toss a laptop if its more than 3 years old.. strange world...
Damn bro you are a LEGEND lol, even with the code I still never beat the fucker lol. Ah shit that dude the Super Macho Man yea fuck him too LOL. Super Punch I beat pretty fast Sandman, Rick and Nick Bruiser. I think I was I was stuck on the hair swinging bitch for a while though LOL. Yea that sniper rifle was cool to play Gotcha! Man you're probaly among the few that have ever done it, that's an accomplisment lol because if you get twice you're done LOL
AHHH dude the memories bro! You're right the world was much bigger and we were all so innocent. I wish the world had never changed. It's like watching the movie The Sandlot, and Stand By Me. The times we had, life was all about baseball, wrestling, we were always outside doing something whether it be building a tree house, fishing, just going down gullies and on quests or adventures. God I long for those times, it sucks you only get to experience it once. Now kids sit there playing video games and on these devices all day, they don't know what it's like to have actually lived, hell they don't know true boredom either. Try sitting in your grandmas house with a black and white tv and having to watch what she watched, you didn't have any type of device to occupy your mind. Then around 2 am the TV would go into testing mode and then you'd see a graphic and the national anthem playing LOL. As far as our entertainment and video games, we actually went to the malls and arcades and most of them don't even exist anymore, which is sad. We had to wait every week or every month for new codes to come out on our video game through GamePro and EGM magazines lol. I was a skater too and later a roller blader, did anyone get CCS magazine? Now heres a big question lol. Did any of you have the MC Hammer parachute velcro pants or wear your pants backwards like Kriss Kross? what about the Vanilla Ice railroad tracks haircut or a rat tail? hahaha.. bowl cut? LOL. What about JNCO jeans in middle school. Who had the Red zipper jackets like Michael Jackson? Right man I wish I could disconnect and go back to a flip phone too. Kids nowdays will never know whats it like to have to sit there with a cord. Then later we got cordless phones and could make our conversations a little more private, but usually your parents heard everything you talked about, LOL. It was great though because you actually had to go places to see people. I remeber when I ever saw my first cel phone, it was a 2pac video and Saved By The Bell Last edited: Dec 20, 2024 at 9:03 AM
Well you misunderstood me but it's my bad. When i said Elder Scrolls, i meant the series of single player games under this name, not the MMORPG. The latter was kinda "hit and miss" at launch although lately i hear it's become good enough to invest time. I did play it for a good 3 months though because fanboy hahah. Elder Scrolls series starts in the 90s but the games i enjoyed most were Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. Elder Scrolls game mechanics is awesome, the more you use a skill the better your character becomes at it. Myst now, it's a totally different beast and quite dated by today's standards, a graphic adventure with just point and click, but it's the most mind boggling game ever probably. Its puzzles and riddles are second to none imho. Witcher 3 full, is a game that would be right up your alley if you liked Skyrim. Its difficulty is medium i'd say, a bit harder than Skyrim perhaps, you quickly get to grips with the kinda weird battle mechanics, takes about 3-4 hrs perhaps. Leveling is slow but rewarding and the story is fkn great. It has a strong epic feel of cinematic proportions, too many times you 'll catch yourself feeling that you play in a movie or something. With that said, if you really are into shooters or fast paced hack and slash Diablo style and don't care much about story and dialogue stuff, Witcher games are not for you. If you ever try it out, don't skip the side quests! At first they might feel that they 'll be dragging forever to complete (much like Skyrim) but hear me out and do them hehe. Items you get from these help a lot the game progression and make battles easier. Witcher 3 has exceeded 50 mil sales so it's one of the all time best selling games ever. I will accept those 3 year old "trash" laptops anytime lol Last edited: Dec 20, 2024 at 3:16 PM
Ah ok yea I was talking about ESO, but yea definitely that series was amazing. Morrowind I loved it I think that first Xbox. awesome game. I don't I ever played oblivion I think that was in my 20s.. ugh yea those were a blur, I don't recall much lol. I took a long break from gaming in my 20s I had way too much going on, go toi work, get off and get drunk, call some random chick at 12 hook up, in bed around 5 am and work at 8 LOL.. reapeat the cycle haha. Ah I see, you know I never played the Asassins Creeds either that was around the same time, my buddy used to play Prince of Persia a lot. Only games I played were like Guitar Hero or Rockband whatever they were called when we were all drunk lol. I think I would definitely love The Witcher series for sure, I hate hack and slash like Diablo. Those type of game just has no story lines or purpose to me. A buddy of mine got me to play part 3 I think, and I was like dude this game sucks. He loved it but I thought it was just just repetitive. I';m defintely going to check out The Witcher, oh don't worry when I play a game I have to experience EVEYTHING it has to offer. In Skyrim I was in the thieves guild, the blades, the companions, a wearwolf, a vampire lol I did it all, at least eveything you could do as a Nord. I think Skyrim is without the best I've ever played and I was basically addicted to it. I went back to gaming around probably 28 because a lot of buddies played COD and my cousins and nephew all played. Around that time my lifestyle changed, and I'd calmed down a lot from the "running" phase. After Skyrim I think Zelda: Ocarina of Time is my next best game ever. A lot of my buddies grew up playing Final Fantasy series, but I never got into it. I didn't have a PS1, I had a Nintendo 64. Goldeneye 64 ahhhh the memories. Last edited: Dec 21, 2024 at 3:30 AM
