any recomandation on gamepad able pc games from 2004-2010 ? i know there are pad to key emus but with toni hawk 3 it wont work . ...also there was great ice age jump and run but i only found a dozen shit ice age games

The original Larry was a quite clever and very funny adventure game. From the descrption it may sound a bit like GTA but it was nothing like that really. There was very little -if any- graphic violence. But it was a rated game because of the protagonist's constant pursuit of love and sex, endlessly hitting on girls unsuccessfully. I remember playing it on the AtariST, you could input any text as instruction to Larry, as to what he would do or say. If for instance in a conversation scene you had to answer and you 'd input "fuck you" he would go "tsk tsk tsk" haha. Laden with riddles, it wasn't an easy game, hence small solution books were selling like hotcakes and partially some of the riddle solutions were published on gaming mags. Absolutely with you on Thief. Thief 1&2 must be the stealth masterpieces of all time. I 've played everything stealth based MetalGearSolid, Hitman series, all Splintercel,all Assasin's Creed etc., the only thing that comes close to it as far as gameplay and steam punk setting/atmosphere, is Dishonored (2012) which along with its sequels and the Deathloop spinoff (2021) are also one of my latest favs when it comes to action games. The major difference with Thief is the lead in Dishonored has a "powers path", much like an rpg skill tree only less detailed and depending what you choose when you "level up", you can go full stealth on stages or go banging shit constantly like a shooter game and still progress just fine, whereas with Thief you just can't go blasting your way out, you 'll be dead very quick hehe. Funny you mention Descent 2, heheh, what a clastrophobic game! You flew an aircraft of sorts through Doom-like mazes of very narrow corridors with constant fear of errors in navigation not to mention enemies haha. TombRaider i had played them all except the "new" ones after the reboot. With the first lockdown in 2019 i sat and played all three latest installments and i totally enjoyed them, solid games all of them and with a lot of survival/stealth gameplay features that fit nicely the puzzle-action adventure heritage of the game. And 97's DungeonKeeper? Excellent strategy game especially with the expansions and such. Its impact still resonates with games like War of the Overlord and Dungeons 2/3. If you 've never tried the 2010 fan expansion where it gives the ability of online multiplayer plus compatibility with modern Windows, you should. I buy a lot of games through GOG. They are the best of the best in restoring old titles, making them compatible with even Win11 and always DRM free. Plus they have old games on sale starting from 0.99 and they have lots of freebies often. For example i recently bought King's Bounty series which includes: The Legend, Crossworlds, Warriors of the North (complete), DarkSide (Premium edition) and King's Bounty 2-Duke's Edition for a total of 13 euros hehe. Money well spent as i do enjoy those turn based rpg's a lot. So excuse my lengthy post, i 'm admittedly quite the nerd when it comes to gaming. At 58 going 59, i could never shake the habit off hehe. This will be me in 8 more years I may never stop gaming. I don't game quite as much as I'd like to these days, but I still get lured in by the odd great game, whether it be newer Souls-likes (Elden Ring) or 8-bit type games (lots of "Metroidvania" genre for me). I especially love a good RPG.. and I'm a big fan of turned-based RPGs too (and other turn-based genres, turned based strat of X-COM). And yes, GOG is a great resource for old games too, as you mentioned. Their DRM-free policy is excellent.. and their returns there too. I've only actually returned one game there ever though - Cyberpunk 2077, but I'll get it again eventually - I'm a big CDPR fan, thanks to the Witcher, but this one disappointed me. Of course GOG is owned by CDPR.
Only rich kid had those, never mind "OG" lol I knew several people that had an NES (myself included), but not one owned the power glove. That said, this is nerdy as hell, but my friend, his brothers and I dismantled one of their C64 controllers. We took all the wires and contacts and attached them to our own glove and made our own "power glove". It was absolutely terrible, but you could actually do stuff with it. haha The Power Glove for poor kids. It was more funny to us than functional. It's almost like those people who play difficult games (Souls-likes, for example) using a Dance Dance Revolution pad. P.S., I beat Mike Tyson (not with this lame glove though lol) *flex*
