Samplitude is borderline dead, I'd rather opt for WaveLab especially if you're used to Cubase already

According to my research, although I think it still comes down to necessity
But most mastering engineers use Samplitude
The videos I saw proved this
That's why I decided to create a thread here and use your experiences and those of other artists
What is the reason that Samplitude was chosen?
Although wavelab is also said to be good
And Samplitude is said to be very accurate for mastering (it has very practical and accurate tools)

because actual mastering business isn't cool, and many of those engineers have been doing successfully for years,
nowadays you can pick whatever you want, there isn't any objective mastering magic in any DAW,
you can use Reaper for everything,
you can make a decision to switch between multiple softwares like you expect,
I even know some people do mastering directly in HOFA DDP because it's the end of the mastering delivery process anyway

If you have a Pro Tools license, there is no need to purchase more software to perform Mastering. Most current DAWs should give you what is needed to do basic mastering. You not only save funds for something else that is needed, you also do not have to learn how to use another piece of software.

Wavelab being a Steinberg product is not one-to-one with Cubase or Nuendo. There is a learning curve.

I’ve worked with WaveLab, and honestly, it’s not complicated at all.
I’ve used a lot of DAWs and have plenty of experience. No DAW can be “the best”; each one has its own pros and cons.
That’s just a general statement, of course.

I agree that today’s DAWs can handle the entire audio process.
My main software is Cubase, but I transfer my projects to Pro Tools for mixing.
My Pro Tools is a cracked version, 12.5 — pretty old.
Cubase isn’t really optimized for handling a large number of tracks in mixing.
My projects usually have at least 80 to 100 tracks, and they require precise processing ( in my tested )
    Pro tools handles like benz

In my experience, 20 plus years, the majority of mastering takes place in the mixing process anyway, you can't have a polished master without a polished mix, all mastering does is put the final polish on a mix, adding shine, sparkle, saturation, and making sure all the levels are on par.
