I have to do a car mix check today. It's 20ºF outside and I'm procrastinating that shit big time. I also open the windows when I do checks because with the windows closed in my car it bloats up 150hz

I usually do any critical mix checks with the car not moving though. There's too much noise when it's moving, as you noted.

 

I use VSX, it's great. Including the car models.

BUT it's not at all the same as actually listening in a car. They're still headphones and are still a little unnatural that way. Despite that I personally recommend them 100%. It's truly been a life changing purchase for me.

 

No problem. I will try one of these. Actually it is mostly the bass that I need to readjust because sounds different than I would expect. If it does not work I will just wait until spring and that's it.

 

theres nothing like the sound of a 8 track car stereo, never heard anything like it in the last 50 yrs

 

if you find a model/emulation make sure it includes the matchpack under the cartridge to keep the tracks in stereo, also a little warble as the slipsheet and capstan wear out.

 

I thought the reverb reference in the speech bubble was funny/ironic since it wasn't in the prompt, but I did put "reel to reel" in the prompt along with "porta potty" and "Bathroom"... somehow AI knows about reverb plugins, think he's listening into our forums.....
